- nick| 2 repliesChrystal Heins left a message with this number 800-392-7569. They are calling cell phones too.
- awis replies to nick| 1 replyI have actually setup a monthly payment with these guys, there just like any other collection agency, once in a blue moon you speak with a representative that actually gives a damn. So I finally quite speaking with them and starting mailing in checks monthly, there processing fees are high and maybe there highy..
I guess it is what it is ..
They did contact me via cell phones several times. - Angry accounts recievable replies to who cares| 7 repliesHow are the rude? there not the ones who got into debt. how would you feel if someone owed you money and you couldnt collect from them?? That the idea for any collection agency. I work for an accounts receivable dept and know what my clients go thru when there patients dont pay. Take care of your bill and you wont have them chase you. If you paid your debt you obviuosly wouldnt hear from a collection agent!!! God no wonder our economy sucks, people whine about collection agencies being rude instead of just resolving the "Original" problem......CONSUMERS!!!
- Cody replies to either way| 1 replyLike anything in life there are rules. Any type of collection call cannot be disclosed on a voicmail or answering machine. You need to resolve the issue and call them. Its not there job to babysit you. Your a big bou so act like one and resolve your debt.
- Lily replies to Ticked| 3 repliesI work for discover card and know how collections work. I call people at work becasue its the best way to get a hold of you. You have a debt to resolve and its your problem. We can call you at work anytime we please. Grow up and pay your bills. I fail to understand how that is unprofessional when the original problem is you didnt pay your debt. Despite your creditors best efforts to resolve it in a timely manner. Take responsibility for yourself and pay your account. Dont try and shift the blame to the collection agency.
- Ryan replies to Angry accounts recievable| 2 repliesYeah, I "got myself into debt" and "if you paid your debt you wouldn't hear from them". OK, somehow "I" got my then-wife sick, made her to go the hospital and rack up all these bills right before the divorce was final, then made her lose her job and have all of her debts come after me, most of which are medical... Then I'm saddled with thousands from many different debtors, while I have to pick and choose who gets paid this month while being sure to keep my main things up-to-date (electricity, water, etc.) Meanwhile I'll probably be filing bankruptcy because most debtors seem to think they are more important than the rest.
Yeah. I feel real sorry for these debtors. Then she leaves a message "Ryan you *need* to call me". BS. Send a letter. I don't have money simply lying around to give them and they aren't willing to work with me (well, most aren't). I also do not answer calls from "Blocked" or "Unknown" ID, or from 1-800, 877 or 866 numbers. I also do not respond to computer-generated calls ("press 1 if you are so-and-so").
Note to collection agencies - if you want me to answer my phone, call from a 'real' phone number and BE NICE. I don't work with rude people. PERIOD.
Ryan - Ryan replies to LilyLily don't try to defend your employer's practices. You prey on people and entice them to spend money they don't have, and when they get themselves in over their heads, you badger them day and night until they pay up, calling them all sorts of nasty names.
Or in many cases, people get sick and their debts pile up beyond their control, but to you people they're just deadbeats who don't pay their bills. Some are deadbeats, but many are in circumstances that are the result of a string of bad luck, situations that very quickly spiral out of control. You need to have more compassion for these types of situations.
Of course, if it's just a college student who bought a plasma TV, new computer, new tennis shoes, etc. then by all means, badger them 24/7, PLEASE. - oc| 2 repliesAbout a year ago I became severly ill and was rushed to the local hospital. I nearly died that day. Then again several days later when (still hospitalized) I learned my insurance co. wouldn't cover my $4000 dollar & mounting hospital bill!! I tried making several arrangements but due to the hospital stay I lost my job! Ulitmatly my case got sent to collections/boneville agency. At first all was fine I let them know I had just got a new job & was a single parent at that time i could only make small montly payments. they agreed to this. I made them each month on time desperatly wanting to resolve the debt. Then boneville stopped accepting my payments! they told me I would have to pay in full or begin paying $400 a month, then the payment would double every 3 months!! I worked to find out my rights & if this was legal. 'Could they refuse to accept my money & then suddenly change our contract?' But it was too late now I'm getting garnished! If you ever have to deal w/Boneville collections do ANYTHING you can to pay them in full & on time! DO NOT set up monthly payments with them! They are sneaky, unfair, & very rude. I wouldn't doubt what they did to me was illegal!
- Caller: boneville collection agency
- Call type: Debt collector
- oc replies to awisread the post below!! Never set up an arrangement with a collection agency.Espcially if it is boneville collections! I did that too. From day one I wanted to handle my debt. I was unable to work for quite some time after i left the hospital & my previous job actually fired me due to the hospital visit! when i did find a job I wanted to work with collections when they called. But could not pay the bill in full it was thousands of dollars! so i made monthly arrangements. I paid each month and on time for 6, or 7 months then one day they called to say they were not going to accept our orginal payment arrangement! they wanted to double it, and each month it would double 200$, 400$ then $800 yeah right. They refused to accept my payment & told me they would garnish my wages in 14 days if I didn't agree to their new payment plan! Now i'm getting garnished & the 1,400$ I had orginally paid to them ....they didn't include that in the garnishment like i payed that money for nothing! good luck get a loan and pay the snake s off! believe me they don't care about you they tried that with me too!
