- S| 1 replyCall comes in, hangs up. Person who received call will sometimes *69 it (as I did) to get number. GET A FRICKIN LIFE PEOPLE!
- Anon replies to SThis company has been calling us for about a month. I still don't know who they are, but I think they may be the "free vacation, press 9" people (which I'm pretty sure is some kind of scam). Their dialer is clearly malfunctioning, because we get calls that never connect to anything - just blank hangups. I'd dearly like to find the CEO of this company and use him for archery practice.
- TomI got calls from this number twice a day. I don't personally answer 800 numbered call, but my answering machine does. No message recored. When I don't have a caller ID service, these kind of calls turned out usually "Fundraising" calls.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- maiai qm also having calls from this number, i dont know who they are or what they want, nobody is speaking.
- Chris| 4 repliesI too have had a few calls from this #. I haven't answered any of them. They don't leave a message so it must not be that important.
- amanda| 1 replyI called it back after they called being I didn’t answer and was curious as to what it was. It seems to be a telemarketing company. There is an option that says if you would like to have your name taken off the list for the product you were called about press (some number) Hope this helps :)

- Jen replies to amandaI have recieved numerous calls from this number, and today, they called minutes after I hung up on a suspicious number (402) 661-2888, which has also been calling me several times a day. I'm not sure if they are connected, but it seemed odd.
- GBThis number has called our home office about 2 or 3 times a day for the last few weeks. Same thing, rings, dead air, then hangs up. I finally found out it is Gemma Communications, a telemarketing firm out of Toronto & Montreal. You can call the number back and follow the prompts to be taken off the list. I hope it works.
Also look at this blog for others who have had trouble with Gemma. It sounds like they have poor technology implemented:

- 1-800-394-3135We get this number coming up at least once a day at our office, and when answered always a dead line or a click. Unfortunately, we have an answering service so even if we opt to not answer these calls, it stills understands the number is active. I've tried the number before and have tried to have our number deleted from their database, but within a few weeks it started up again.

If we knew who they were doing their "market research" for we would definitely never do business with them. How sad when people don't bother doing their own research anymore, to the point of annoying potential clients.- Caller: Gemma Communications
- ajeThanks for the info. I am in Squamish BC Canada, we have been getting the same calls 3 times per day in our home office for the past 3 weeks. Same issue, rings but no one on the other end, and no message left. I called the number back and went through the process to have our number removed. I dearly hope it works because this is driving me crazy!
- munchkinsame thing calls in p.e.i.,hang upsfrom 1-800-394-3135

- SlimVery F#&king ignorant I have a Company to run and these ignorant F%#ks are waisting my time and cell phone airtime as well I would like to charge them with Harasment Can anyone help?

- GMBehind this number, could be the cell phone companies trying to make money by getting people to answer their cell phones while paying per minute. Putting together the number of people getting these calls everyday could mean hundreds of thousands of dollers if they set somebody to do it for them for a little cut for him. Make money whicheverway it is possible in this land of oppertunity.
- SPSo I've been getting calls from this number for several weeks now on my Rogers Cell phone...they call about 3-4 times a day usually hangup. Today I picked up the call and it was a rep from GemmaCom calling on behalf of Rogers. They asked me if I would be interested in signing up for Rogers Home Phone, etc etc, offering me discounts and garbage. I declined and asked to be removed from their calling list.
I can't believe Rogers is the one who is guilty of bombarding our cell phones with this phone spam. Just to think that I was on the verge of cancelling my Cell plan because to put an end to telemarketters! Now if they call again, I'm REALLY going to cancel my services with Rogers.- Caller: Rogers
- Call type: Telemarketer
- SaraGotten calls from this number on my caller ID. Don't know who it is, and I never answer.
- Krusty| 1 replyThe best way to eliminate telemarketers and nuisance callers is to change your phone number and then only give out your new number to friends. Did I mention ONLY! Tell your bank, insurance company and others that you no longer have a phone and that you keep a roll of quarters handy for all your calls. OR enter 000-000-0000 or a pizza number on websites that insist on a phone number. DO NOT give out your new number to ANYONE other than friends!
Problem solved......
Krusty. - bethget call constantly from this number morning noon and night - it is driving me crazy - i wish they would stop.
- Tired of being harassed!!!!I have received numerous calls from this company "GEMMA COMMUNICATIONS". They have called (HARASSED!) me three times a day for the past 3 weeks. Does anybody know how to file a formal complaint against this company?????? There HAS to be a law to prevent this sort of stuff..
- Caller: GEMMA COMMUNICATIONS C/o ROGERS
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MattGot a call and then it hungup
IF you know the specific telemarketing firm, make a complaint with the BBB. Every complaint is taken care of and if everyone complains it's at least wasting the companies time and then the BBB will also have a profile on them.
