Me, too. Rogers don't respect their customers. Looks down upon their customers has stupid suckers who can be scammed for more money. Got many, many, many calls from Gemma Corp trying to sell me some kind of "Rogers Internet Stick"!!! Even after I told them nicely to take my name off their caller list, they agreed saying, "I'll take it off right away, sir"... YET I still get many, many, many calls from them again weeks later. And Rogers is Waaaaaaaay toooooo expensive as Jessica rightly says so. 7-11 Speakout cellular in Canada or in the US is great. In Canada, 7-11 often have promotions of free phones for the Whole month of December or around December and other months every year. The FREE 7-11 phones are already UNLOCKED for free ((Rogers charges $200 to unlock their own phone and only if they allow for certain models only)).  Virgin Mobile or Telus also have great deals.
For the 7-11 unlocked free phones, you can buy any cheap sim card in any country that uses the same 2 bands and use the 7-11 phones in that country. Neat, huh? Rogers phone, NO WAY... you are stuck with expensive Rogers and use their phones with their big expensive $$$ plans and pay through your nose to use Rogers phone in only a few foreign country!!!

i almost shut down (X) this webpage... Point is, i think you guys have it backwards!!!  (Constructive criticism)  latest messages should be on Page 1 and Older posts should be on Page 13!!! Not the other way around like it is now. First thing people see on your site should be the latest date and not a message written YEARS ago like 19 Feb 2007 !!
I will certainly cancel my rogers cellular... renewal this month.. and go with ANY cell company except rogers ... even if my rogers contract do not end this month, i'm very willing to pay penalty and save save save more more more over the the next few months... rogers "waaaay toooo" expensive.

bye, rogers... you will never ever have my business again... ever!!! never, never, never have my business again.... so many companies out there doing the exact same and cheaper and much more affordable and more efficient business than yours.... i never, never had this kind of telemarketer problems until i gave my tel number to rogers cellular /tv company ... now i regularly get nuisance calls from 1-800-395-8813 and 1-888-111-1110... 8813 will be selling some kind of rogers cellular or internet product... 1110 is some kind of credit card scam.  they SAY they will take my number off their call list.. but they still call weeks later. NEVER ROGERS AGAIN, EVER.

This is a company calling you on Roger's behalf.  Its for marketing.  You have to sign into your Rogers account and opt out of it.  It's on the front page.  It doesn't take effect for 5 days.

I phoned Rogers twice in early March and demanded to be pulled off their list, they said it takes 1-2 weeks for the calls to stop...bullcrap! I had to call because when I tried to do it online, it kept defaulting to allowing marketing contact. .

Hi guys, call the number back and follow the prompting. It takes approximately 2mins and 15 seconds to follow the instructions-- pretty painless actually. It promises to complete the deletion of my number in their call list-- hope it does work.

Rogers lays its hands on your cellular numbers and sells your tel # to Gemma Corp to harass loyal customers to buy more Rogers services ...tv, internet, cellular. Gemma operates offshore in Mumbai, India and some people there sells your number to other scam operators and your number keeps getting sold and sold. LOTS OF 1-800 DIFFERENT NUMBER NUISANCE TELEMARKETER CALLS SOON AFTER ROGERS GOT MY CELLULAR NUMBER... NEVER SUCH CALLS 10 YEARS BRFORE THAT.
MAKE ROGERS BANKRUPT thru' the POWER OF THE PEOPLE... CANCEL ALL ROGERS SERVICES... get the word out to your relatives, friends, to email addresses from your address books, to email addresses from websites, email addresses you see on passing business trucks or vehicles... inform them, tell them, email them and TOGETHER WE CAN BANKRUPT MEAN, GREEDY, SNEAKY ROGERS CELLULAR, TV, INTERNET SERVICES !!!

When you tell Rogers nicely to take your number off, they'll do it BUT they'll pass/sell your number to Gemma Corp to harass you. THEN Gemma will pass/sell your number to everyone else...scammers, cheats, virus makers and internet spammers included.
Gemma Corp must be part of Rogers or owned by a Rogers FAMILY MEMBER OR RELATIVE. They'll do the exact same Rogers thing. They'll agree to take your number off BUT then you get a lot of other harrasing calls to buy, buy, buy or get new credit cards, everything...

Boycott Rogers Cellular, TV, Internet.
They are harassing loyal customers, directly or indirectly thru' Gemma Corp. Cancelled ALL my Rogers subscriptions.

I have been getting calls EVERYDAY, sometimes even 3 times a day!!, from Gemma Corp selling Rogers products and services.
NO other Canadian company behaves like this dishonourable, arrogant, uneducated barbarian towards its OWN LOYAL Customers!!! It refuses and does not understand the word "no". Passing your number from telemarketer to telemarketer.
So Boycott and cancel all services is the strongest People Power answer.
Other honourable Canadian companies does not behave this way even toward their non-customers!!!

They called me on my cell phone, which costs me money... I am registered with the Canadian Do Not Call list and filed a formal complaint.. I have never dealt with Rogers...

"Winnie", thanks for your tip but with due respect to you, i don't know if you are a Gemma/ROGERS telemarketer trying to update your call list... i don't trust sneaky ROGERS not to pretend to be on our side. Once ROGERS or gemma sees our numbers on their caller ID, then they will call us more knowing our numbers are valid and in use...

1) when the telemarketer and Rogers say personally during a call that they will take your number off, they still pass your number around, back and forth, they are being sneaky, playing with words and cheating their loyal customers.
2) ROGERS started this fight... they started years ago DISREPECTING their customers... I don't have to spend time 2min 15 sec to undo what they started.  I will end this fight for them MY WAY because ROGERS cannot afford to pay me my rate for 2min 15sec to take my number off their/Gemma's list.  They should stop themselves at once harassing their customers.

What IF that distraction causes her to run down another school kid or causes her to smash into a tree with a child waiting under that tree??.. the child smashed between the car and the tree!!!

I cancelled my Rogers contract. Paid some penalties but better than having blood on my hands... better than paying money every month to Rogers/Gemma to call and distract people up to 3 times a day!!!

To add, what if someone is driving at high speed along the highway (NOT speeding but at highway speeds of 110kph or 120kph)with children inside and ROGERS/Gemma telemarketer distract the driver and causes a crash at high speed???
CHECK ALL ACCIDENT RECORDS AND COMPARE DATE & TIME TO NEW/OLD CELLULAR PHONES FOR THE PAST YEARS... loved ones deceased, injured or whatever.
Had the driver been distracted by ROGERS/Gemma calls???
CAN LAWYERS SUE ROGERS/Gemma if there is proof???
CAN ROGERS CUSTOMERS ALSO BE SUED for directly or indirectly contributing to the accident for "financing" the telemarketing calls with their monthly payments for their ROGERS TV, CELLULAR or INTERNET FEES???

very, very poor ROGERS cell call quality... that's why they keep harassing us to buy buy buy .. i already cancelled my ROGERS cell phone... to many dropped calls even in big cities.. inside Wal-mart, Rona, Home Depot ... have to go to the entrances of these shops to make calls or if want to make calls inside these stores, got to borrow my friend's Telus Corp's cell phone !!
also too many dead zones with ROGERS cell ... signal indicator zero !!!

At home & work these calls are non stop! They call the office where I work and answer phones day after day and our provider is Telus.  They argue with me and also wont take NO for an answer.  At home they call my landlind that is through Shaw the other night at 9:30 PM!  I was downstairs doing laundry before bed trying to get ready for the next work day in my busy life and stop to run for this nonsense so frusturating!!! I have called back the 1-800 # no help :( SIGH!!!!

I called Rogers and asked them if they are affiliated with Gemma in any way and they said that they are a '3rd party marketing company'. She really seasawed alot on the phone. First saying that they ARE affiliated then not, then that they are.
She also said that my (our) number from ANY cellphone are on a database and anyone can access it to call us.  I then asked where the database is, how do I access it and how do I remove myself from it. She left me on hold for AGES then finally came back and totally backtracked and said that she was sorry, she gave me the wrong information and that no such database exists.
YA RIGHT!
At the end of the convo I told her that what she had said originally seemed pretty legitimate and well versed but when she came back on the phone she seemed rehearsed and unsure. I asked her if she was told to say that she was wrong regardless of whether or not the information I had received was accurate.
I am NOT convinced of anything I was told.

There was way more to the call but too much to type. Mostly I asked as many questions as I could and there is nothing to do but wait it out. OR call that National Database Removal Whatsit Whatever number. But I dont trust that either. My research indicates that its just a database to secure people to call you because you have just confirmed that your number is legit.

So, it IS definitely Gemma Communications, they ARE a marketing company and they will continue to call.
HOWEVER, If you never ever pick up the phone and answer - I mean never ever people and dont give in to your curiousity and pick up OR call them back- then they will give up. It might take time but it's worth it.
