    got a call with caller ID reading 4148319n with no area code. The left message said it was a call from Palisades: "It's not a sales call..."

      I too have received numerous calls from 414-8319 which has no area code attached. My area requires 10 digits to make telephone calls. So, this obviously is an attempt to hide their identity. No message is ever left on my answering machine.

      My mom has had over 100 phone calls from this number. They are targeting everyone they can by attempting for the return phoner to enter a social security number into their data base.

      We have reported this to the local phone company,FTC and be sure you are registered or your loved one is registered on the Do not call registry @
      https://www.donotcall.gov/  These are crooks or a real debt collection company using illegal techniques at anybody's expense to attempt to collect a debt.Turn them in!

        I just recived a call from 1 800 414 8319 they said they were trying to collect on an outstanding debt ( which I have none ) and left a code for
        me to use upon calling them back. Upon calling them back they wanted my
        social security number. It was not given .  The only number I gave them
        was their own code number. They played nice music on the phone, then Hung UP. This is a scam. By the way , the lady who answerd my return call sounded like an India born native.

      I called the number back and the recorded message wanted me to leave my 9 digits SS number. There was not an option to zero out for a live person.  I would never give out my SS number to anyone over the phone that called me unsolicited. This must be a scam.

    Have received over 6 calls, I returned a call and they could not explain why I was called..I informed them twice to get my number out of their system, I will report them to attorney general of their state if this happens again

      Same here, except I received 28 calls, I called them 4 times, and I filled a complaint at the "Do not call registry", so far nothing worked. They have my phone number by mistake.
      I suspect that 1-800-414-8319 is some kind of Government sponsored agency?

    We are called everyday for over a month.  They always leave a message that states "this is not a sales call, please call Palisades at..."

        I'm already on the do not call list, don't owe any money, and can't figure out how they got my unlisted home number and cell! They call up to ten times a damn day! Who are these people??? Does anyone really know? They don't say anything except what others have posted, "this is not a sales call" and Palisades...means nothing to me.

          Most phones now have something called "Selective Call Rejection"  usually it is *60  -wait for tone-  enter the 10 digit number to be blocked  -wait for confirmation-  hang up.

          Your phone won't even ring!

      It is an irreputable company.  They are in many lawsuits and have connections to organized crime. Do an internet search on their name and see!  Report them to the Federal Trade Commission via their website, it is very easy

        You're right -It IS a disreputable company. I have reported them to the FTC twice without any result. I am, and have been on the Do Not Call list for years. This doesn't help.
        I finally broke down and called the number they left [800.414-8319]. DO NOT give them your social security number!!! I just hit pound(#) when the recorded voice asked for it, and it went on. I had to call three times and wait quite a bit - but finally got someone. I told them I had been getting calls form them nearly every day for quite some time and that the call was for ******. and I was not that person.
        DON'T tell them any more than that.
        I was told they would take my number out of their system. We'll see...
        I intend to start calling them until the do that.

    This number has been calling me for months leaving a message to call "Palasades" at this number. I'm getting very angry and don't know what to do or who to go to!!! Isn't there someone I can report this to?? This has got to stop now! Can somebody please help???
