This is the number for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.

Call initiated from 612-312-8585 leaving a voice messages saying they were Wells Fargo and asking to call back at 1-800-416-1472. Went to Wells Fargo web site to look up their contact numbers, this number was not among them. I believe this is a phone PHISING scam.

Someone called, claimed they were with Wells Fargo, and asked me for my property information.  I asked how I knew they were Wells Fargo, and they said I could call back at this number.  I called a Wells Fargo number (from their web site) and asked if this number was real.  They said it's the home mortgage collections department and transferred me.

Asked that I return the call to 800-416-1472

The number 800 416 1472 is for sure Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and I know because I work there.So If you do have a mortgage with us and you receive a voicemail saying to call that number for sure give them a call.It is not a scan. Thank you.

Caller stated this was an attempt to collect a debt concerning my home mortgage. I knew it was bogus since my mortgage is paid on time every time. Gave me a call back number of 1-800-416-1472. Beware!!

The number is ligit.  When the caller stated this was an attempt to collect a debt concerning home mortgage, this is a canned speech that they have to state on every call since it references a home mortgage.  I have been contacting them to reduce my home mortgage payments.

3 teenagers pulled up in a S-10 pickup truck and handed me a yellow piece of paper and said that my mortage company was trying to contact me the number on the paper is 800-416-1472  how come a company like Wells Fargo can not do there own calling or conmunacating with there clients, especally when they can call all week long while we are at work.

**CONSUMER BEWARE** 800-416-1472 is a number belonging to American Servicing Co. ASC claims to have merged with WFHM and that they are collecting on befhalf of WFHM. This is FALSE! They are phishing and attempting to steal your identification and business. FYI - The call originated from 909-658-1438. When called back, no one will answer it.

I received a call from Wells Fargo at 612-312-8585 the person ID'd themselves as being from WF and began asking questions "verifying my identity", such as address, loan number etc. I would not give this info over the phone to someone I wasnt convinced was from WF.  I called back on the 800-416-1472 number and it is indeed WF. What a POORLY designed process, especially given the number of people who get scammed now a days. They were giving me a "courtesy call" to remind me that my payment was 2 weeks overdue... please....

Received a call that on the caller ID said Twin Cities, MN--612)341-5456--  Said they were Wells Fargo and to call back at 800)416-1472 and ask for Eric. Wouldn't say what it is about-that there is a verification process and then we would know.  ???Legit or not?

I was left a piece of paper with this number on my door.  Says they are Wells Fargo.  I have been recieving letters from them.  This is total BS.

How do I reach your San Bernadino collections/foreclosure dept. or the East Coast office?

I get a yellow piece of paper on my door every now and again with 'Urgent Please contact us immediately' and then the number hand written underneath. I never can figure out who is putting them on my door, but there is no other information like who it's from, company, etc. I don't ever call back because if you can't tell me who you are in the first place, why should I call you back. Number is 800-416-1472

not a phone but weird man took photo of my house(according to neighbour) and left an index card saying contact your mortgage company at 1-800=416-1472 . this was in a ripped envelope over handle of door with "mortgagor only" written on it.  Nothing else.  Not behind on mortgage or anything .  Came across this site when looking up No. What is this

This is a scam I just called Wells Fargo. They left a white sticky note on the door. The not in green typed letters say URGENT! PLEASE CONTACT 1-800-416-1472 (IN HAND WRITTING) A REPRESENTATIVE CALLED ON YOU TODAY. WE HAVE AN IMPORTANT MATTER TO DISCUSS WITH YOU. PLEASE CALL YOUR MORTGAGE COMPANY.

This is verified a scam by wells fargo who is on the phone with me now. If you get this letter contact your local authorities imediately!

Got a note on my front door to call 800-416-1472,  Leery of a scam, I called them and it was Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.     Basically asking me if i wanted to participate in a loan modification program.

I said nope...thanks anyways.   If Im interested in something like that,  I will contact them.

I keep getting letters tagged to the house we are renting. It has been happening scince july to contact Wells Fargo. An Independiant field inspector called on you. Please contact wells fargo at 18004161472.Do I need to be concerned the house is in foreclosure....

I got a call from this number and apparently it is in regards to home mortgages. I don't have a home mortgage with anyone. So, just be careful that it's not a scam.
