Just started calling today, 10/20/07. Called 3 times from 10:59 till 3:54. Our answering machine is set to ring only twice before picking up and we never answer the phone unless we recognize the name and/or number. We have a Chase account but pay the balance in full most months and never use it to make major purchases. There's no reason for collection calls being made to our number so I see these calls as a potential SCAM and/or Identity Theft and/or telemarketers. We have also gotten calls from a Futuremarket Telemarketing recently. All our numbers are listed on the "Do not call" registry. If anyone can find out exactly who or what company is making the calls, go online to www.donotcall.gov and click on "file a complaint" and provide the information it asks for. Don't know if this process works but it's worth a try. Post your results whether positive or negative.

Just found out that there are numerous Chase Companies all over the place by going to Yahoo! and keying in "CEO of Chase" and got a website that said the Chairman & CEO of J P Morgan Chase & Company was a Jamie Dimon. Don't know if there are CEO's at other places but maybe this is a start. Of course, he may be like all the rest of the wealthy people....WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?? Keep everyone posted of any findings.

I'm too young to even have a credit card and they are still calling my cell. Early too and i need my sleep so i can function at school the next day. they could even get me suspended from school if i forget to turn it off. how do you start a class action lawsuit? this is harassment!

I do have a Chase credit card. My bill is past due. This number started calling me a few weeks ago, at first I answered it. No one talks. A couple of times, I have gotten a voicemail from it. But it just plays music. I have not given them my new cell number nor has the person who has my old cell number given them my new one.

There has got to me a way to make this stop. I would like to know how they got my new cell number. I even put my cell number on the Do Not Call list but it keeps happening.

they call all the time and never say anything if you wait a while though a guy whi sounds like he from India starts talking and eventualy just hangs up. thought it was a prank call at first but now i just think it is some freak who gets kicks and laughs when people answer the phone.

I have gotten 14 calls from these morons in 24 hours. They are phishing for info. I called Chase and reported the number to their fraud department. They confirmed it was not one of their numbers. I was also told by them to file a police report, which I did. It was still the same day and they were calling. I was getting rather pissed at this point, so the next time they called I answered the phone FBI. :P They hung up. They called one more time that night and my husband answered and pulled the same FBI thing, but said he was the fraud division and if they called this number again swift legal action would be taken. They haven't called in 24 hours, we'll see how long it lasts. They also called me at work today for the first, I answered the phone and said sorry no one by that name works here, this is a business, do not call here again. I don't owe any company money that I haven't paid on time. So there is no reason for a call, not to mention that it was verified from Chase that this is not one of their numbers.

I get calls couple times a day from 800-424-5004. I usually just mess with them. I'll just pick up the phone and say hello. There is usually a 5 second pause and then I hear and Indian "ELLO?" Then I just scream and hang up. I also like to use an Indian accent when they try to talk to me. I have a lot of fun with them. They'll get their money when I have it.

This company has called my cell too. I am on a payment plan for all of my credit cards, therefore I should not be receiving calls about a payment being late. It is a pain. I have better things to do with my life. It shows me that even if you pay on time they still feel it is okay to keep calling. I am calling Chase tomorrow to complain. One of my other credit card companies have made a mistake and called me too, although I was paying on time. When I retruned their call, they apologized for calling. These companies need to get it together. They better be happy that I am paying. I had figured that this was an out-source call because they never leave a message.

I have recently started receiving the phone calls as well.  Today, alone, I've received about ten (10) calls between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.  As I have registered my phone number with the Do Not Call national registry, I do not answer 800 numbers, and screen the phone calls of any unknown numbers.

Thus, after having received ten calls from this number, having never received a message, I decided to do some research.  My research has brought to this site, as well as countless others, of countless people all having the same complaints.  Therefore, I didn't hesitate to file a complaint with the <a href="http://www.ftc.gov">FTC</a>, <a href="http://www.fcc.gov">FCC</a>, <a href="http://www.attorneygeneral.gov">Attorney General</a>, <i>and</i> <a href="http://www.donotcall.gov">donotcall.gov</a>.

In addition to reading the multiple complaints, and filing my own, I decided to search for the number using the website <a href="http://inter800.com">http://inter800.com</a>.  The information I found is as follows:

This information is quite interesting, as all the complaints that I have read where the Called Party has answered the phone, reported that the callers have been of Indian descent.  However, as you can see, the phone number is registered in Delaware.

Also, very interesting is that the company is listed as Chase, much like the multiple complaints have reported.  However, I do not currently, nor have I ever had an account with Chase.

I would suggest that those that have not already, follow suit and file complaints with the FTC, FCC, your local Attorney Generals, donotcall.gov and the Better Business Bureau, as the behavior of said business does, in fact, qualify as harassment, and it <i>is</i> illegal.

I'm getting calls from this number as well. I've got a Chase account but it's not associated with the number they're calling. Which is an "extra line" anyway, so I'm dumping the number. But this is really annoying. I'd be more afraid that they're going to use my number to make long distance or international calls. Has anyone answered, then checked their next phone bill?

I receive calls from this number (800) 424-5004. I called them back and they asked for my account number and social (did not specify what bank).  I told them no; I just wanted to know if they were legitimately associated with Chase. They hung up on me. Then I called Chase customer service (800-935-9935) and asked them if this was legitimately one of their collection numbers. The person I spoke to said no, it was not, and they would never ask for an account number and social over the phone.  But, it seems that other people have had a different response so maybe this particular Chase employee doesn't know what she's talking about.  I'm going to check it out further with the online personnel and maybe get someone who knows what they're diong.

I get a call from this number at least every 15 minutes starting from 7:00am to 10:00pm. PLEASE tell me how I can get them to stop calling me. I have an account but there has never been any problems. I DON'T UNDERSTAND why they want to bug me so much!! I have my boyfriend answer the phone and they ask for me, when he ask who is calling they either hang up or say it is a personal matter.

I to have been getting numerous calls on my cell phone, they leave a message, or should I say, my cell phone tells me I have a message and when I retreive my messages, it goes right back to an india gentlemen, when ask who they are I get put on hold.  I have no idea who they are and how they got my cell number, and of course its the same pattern as everyone else, starts at 8 in the morning and goes till all hours of the night, one night it was at 2 am

As others have stated, this is Chase.  I have a Chase credit card account that was delinquent for some time, and this number called incessantly, same time frame as others have stated.  It was very un-nerving, and was great to get rid of them - for once I did, my phone bill went down too!!

Once I got caught up on the card and was on time, paid down, etc, I never heard from them.  I am shocked to see that they call so frequently for instances other than mine, such as new accounts.

Calls daily, sometimes within 15 minutes of each other. Calls start as early as 8:00 a.m, even on Sunday. Either no one is there when the call is answered or there is a recording asking that I not hang up.  There is no information about who the call is from.

This started after I put up www.republicanswar.com, I am convinced this is there way of punishing free thinkers and anyone who protests the Republican war!

These guys call me every half hour,  I pick it up and put it in a drawer until i hear the beep-beep-beep tone that tells me they finally hung up.  I am keeping them on the line about an hour a day, that has to cost someone somewhere?  Maybe they will run out of money.

The banks lobbyied the congress who knuckled under and passed a bunch of give-away laws that allow them to do this to you anytime they want.  Thank you, sellout Republicans!  I hope there is a special hell for you who are calling and the crooked Republiocans who have given away citizen's rights.  Now they can change your credit contract without notice or consent and thats just plain wrong!

This number has also been calling me.  Yesterday it started at 814am and then continued on until 440 pm.  I sometimes had missed calls just 15 minutes apart!  This is ridiculous--I don't feel like this is a scam like one person said when they called Chase.  I find it awfully coincidental how we all have Chase accounts and how we all are receiving these calls day after day, hour after hour!  Furthermore, how did they get our number??  

It is one thing for a scam or solicitor to call on ocassion-but it is QUITE another when you get calls every hour of every day from the same number!  Furthermore, I am on a do-not-call list and this is the FIRST occurrence I have ever had with a number calling me in such frequency.  This is borderline harassment and shame on Chase--they should definitely be leaving messages if these calls are so important.

The phone call started for me yesterday at 8am.  They have called every 15 minutes the past two days until 11pm.  It's crazy.  Obviously it's not a legit number.  How can I get off this calling list?

Just like everyone here, I've been getting calls from this number every single day starting early, early in the morning. I know it's a telemarketer, so I don't even pick up the phone, but it's so annoying and pissing me off!!
