- Mr. Know BetterIt appears that all these unknown calls either from 800 numbers or other numbers have a same pattern here. I just got a call from this number and didn't leave a voice mail. What I found out is when you put your phone on do not disturb mode and only allow calls from people you know, they go away. When I take it off do not disturb I get calls from all kind of strange numbers. Note: I get a list of all calls that call when on do not disturb but it appears that when you send them all to voice mail, the listing of these strange calls stops. It appears that even if you let it ring ring ring and not pick up, that letting it go past the first ring lets them know to hound you with other fake numbers. Their computers must scope you out first when it goes past the first ring and lets them know you are are there to be bothered. When I left the do not disturb on for two weeks straight, all the unknown calls stopped per my list but when I turned off the do not disturb mode, I got hounded like crazy.

- Frustrated| 1 replyThis number keeps calling me stating that they are from Dell and that there is a virus on my laptop. However when I call Dell they actually say that Dell would never call. If there were any problems with a product the customer would have to call them. Do not pick up when this number comes through. They will not leave a message.
- Caller: Dell
- Call type: Telemarketer
- PCWorx LA replies to FrustratedThat was NOT someone from Dell calling! Dell (or any other company for that matter) simply doesn't know that you have a virus on your computer (or not) and they also do not have your phone number!.

- Call ReceivedI think when they call back claiming to be from Dell I may give them the real Dell customer service line and tell them to call me back on that number. lol, I dont think it would stop them, but I wish I could be on the line as dell answers the call.
