- Shannon| 7 repliesI think it is a car warranty scam. They keep calling and when I answer it takes a while to actually go through. They ask personal information about the car I purchased a few months ago and claim that warranty is up on it (it isn't). They also sent me mail and tried to look official.

- Denise| 1 replyI am receiving unwanted mailings from a company calling themselves Auto Service Agency. They list their number as 800-428-9097. I spoke with someone calling himself Larry. I asked for him to remove me from their mailing list. He went into details on how old my car was and how much even more it was important I get their coverage.

- H8 phone callsOMG! The factory warranty on the 2005 car that I sold 3 years ago has expired! These low-lifes don't have the brains to get real jobs. Block them, and shred their mailings. Scum-of-the-earth. Bet their mothers are real proud of them.

- AnnoyedThese people are a piece of work the mailing is a joke and someone needs to put a stop to this my car warranty is none of there concern and I wish I knew how to turn them in.

- Bothered| 1 replyToday we received our 3rd unwanted mailing from Auto Service Agency. Our vehicle has less than 7,000 miles on it. They use scare tactics to try to convince people to "..... protect your vehicle beyond the factory warranty".
Give me a break. No way is our warranty about to expire. They even offer a $100 discount if I mention their letter. There is no address given for their so-called company. I hope nobody falls for this scam.- Caller: Auto Service Agency
- RonThese people are a joke. They called me (broken English) to ask why I had not responded to their mailing. I told the guy that if I wanted such a plan, I would have got one, but don't believe in them as a valid program. He responded with an indignant comment, which I then terminated the call. Someone of legislative authority needs to put a stop to this scam type of practice. My car warranty is none of their business, and I wish they were on the Radar of the state Attorney General's consumer fraud department.

- CTlol, these idiots failed to realize that my one year old car's warranty is in fact still in effect. If they had performed any real research, they would have realized I purchased an extended warranty through my dealership. On the mail I received, there isn't even an address listed for their business. I knew this was completely bogus. Better luck next time!
- Call type: Telemarketer
- PhylThe mailer they send didn't get my car model correct or year, which brings up a whole other issue. I'm going to report it to my State. Our State Attorney General/Law Dep't has a fraud unit. May not stop the mail immediately, but sure can't hurt. Phishing idiots.

- ChampI don't get phone calls from 800-428-9097, but I get constant junk mail from this company asking me to call about the car warranty. I get sick of the mail, so I intended to call and ask to be removed from their list. I googled the phone number first and find this site with phone complaints. I am very glad I did not call and get my phone number on their list. These morons can google me and get my current address, but dont have updated records to show that the car they want warrantied is one I havent owned for over 5 years. I'm going to try to report this company somewhere to get off their mailing list. I will trash the mailings, but it's still very annoying to receive them.

- Scott replies to Shannon| 6 repliesI got a card in the mail with that phone number on it that looked official. At first, I thought it was a recall notice but it was some notice that began that "IF your factory warning has expired you will be responsible for paying any repairs." My warranty is nowhere near expiring. What is disturbing is that the outside of the envelope listed the Make, Model and Year of my car. They must have been able to get this from public records somehow. No way to identify the company other than it implies it is from an "Auto Service Agency" and it was presorted postage paid in St. Louis, permit 5283.
- mt| 3 replieswhere the hell do these f***** got my name, address and car details. I am new to the area and bought a brand new car. really wonder who sold my personal data to them. I think the only companies who have these data are:
- Car dealer
- Insurance Company- Caller: Auto Service Agency
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Mike-in-MD replies to mtThey obtained the info from your state's DMV. Not sure why the state is providing or selling that info, but the scammers get it from there. Got a post card on a new vehicle I bought at the end of Sept with a 7 year bumper-to-bumper factory extended warranty that is far, far better than any service contract these morons could ever offer for far less then they charge,
- AnnoyedCustomerI also keep getting junk mail from this address. It looks like they're based out of somewhere in the mid-west (like Missouri) and it is definitely a scan. They use official-looking paper to make it look legit. I called a while ago to be removed from their mailings (I don't even own the car anymore) but I keep receiving them. I'm going to find out if I can report them.

- Friz replies to ScottBottom feeders praying on the unwary. Received the same solicitation for a vehicle purchased new last year. They misspelled my last name. It has only been misspelled once like that before - a warranty service order at Parks of Gainesville auto dealership last year. Just don't understand how they could have gotten my personal info from such an ethical, reputable company/indurstry
- SE Wisconsin| 2 repliesI received a (junk) snail mail from these folks and had no idea who was behind it so I did a little Internet sleuthing. They actually have a website and I found that at the bottom of their home page is a hyperlink that says "Opt-out of mailings." If you click on it, you will be asked to enter the ID from the mailing, which will (theoretically) unsubscribe you from future mailings. I think it is worth giving a try because you do not have to relinquish your telephone number.
