They have been calling but won't leave any details just that they need to discuss a matter.  When you call the number back it won't connect to anything.  The operator comes on and says it can't connect.

Hmmm, I don't owe anybody . . .

Two calls from this number.  One last night and no message. Silent.  One this morning and hubby answered and he was threatened via a recorder about a serious business matter that he had better call them.  It was a man's voice.  Now, these are new numbers.  The 1-866-408-8299 calls have stopped as my cell phone carrier has blcoked that number after one year of harrasing voice recorded messages.  I have no idea who these jerls are but we owe no one and if we did we would receive a notice via the U.S. Mail and not on a cell phone which no one knows this cell number but my husband and 2 kids.  We are in our seventies.

They called and said they were from Bmt music company and I had a DEBT WITH THEM AND THEY WANTED MY CARD NUMBER!hahahahahahahahahaha. How stupid! these people need to get a life or a better scam!

Yeah. They tried to scam me about 6 months ago. I have never had any form of business relationship with BMG. The one thing that was funny is that eveyone that got the call, somehow all had the same 'case number'. There is more info out there.

I just got a call from them.  I didn't answer it but on the voicemail it said "Hello, this is Preston Watson." and then it stopped.  So.  I dunno.

This really is a legit collection agency. LOL...Don't be fooled...it really is. They are the bearers of BAD NEWS! LOL...

By the way, I didn't leave my info with them, but I handled it straight through the agency that I owed and they did verify that a collection agency would be calling me.

I got the call today about some "Important business matter". Doesn't say what this urgent matter is.

I got a call from them yesterdaqy afternoon and again this morning.  All on my cell...Caller ID did not answer it.  I now have this number blocked too.  I cannot beleive this mess. No one has this cell number so why me, Lord?  I do not owe anyone in the world....Can't the 800 exchange prosecute these people?

This happened to us as well. This is a very desperate and threatening guy they provided two numbers 1-800-431-4061 or 1-877-227-3390. Don not answer those calls they are a pure scam. Times are getting desperate and those guys seem to be afraid of nothing.

My mother has received 2 calls on her answering machine.  She lives in assisted living and doesn't pick up anything.  (phone is in my name, not hers).  Both calls left 2 numbers, one the 800, another an 877.  I assumed it was a wrong number (previous owner).  It is on the DNC register.

I have been getting the same calls, I know I don't owe anyone anything I don't even have a credit card.  

I am glad to find out I am not the only one who has been harassed!

Will not leave a detailed message, just that it is a very important matter please call back. I have been harrassed by another number just recently saying that they are trying to collect a debt from BMG all I need to do is give them my debit card number over the phone. What a joke, if they think I am that stupid to give out my info over the phone to a company that I have never heard of. Ha! I stated that I will not give my debit card number so they need to send a statement showing that I owe this debt. "Well mam we don't send out statements!" What a Joke! The man got very irratated with me and would not take no for an answer. Needless to say I had to hang up on him. They continued to call me everyday 20 times a day at least. No Joke

I called this number back since it left a nasty msg on my ph.  Called back put on hold.  Man got on and said I owed $52 and some change to BMG and that they were going to persue collection.  Anything I ever got from BMG I returned because I did not order!!!  I ask the guy to give me proof that I ordered it and he said that he didnt have to that he was the collection company and was only collecting a debt.  I asked him to give me a ph# to call BMG he could not supply that once again said it was my responsibility. Asked for an account number and once again he said the same thing.  I advised that in order for him to report anything to my credit he needed a SS# and he just kept getting nasty and said he could get anything he needed and that he was going to persue the collection.  He also threatened that if I hung up he would persue collection......blah blah blah!!!!!  He also said it was from over 3 yrs ago!!!!  would this not have already been sent to collections?  hmmmm not sure just going to ignore.  will report number if it keeps happening.  Oh yeah the man was so hard to understand because of accent!!!!

If they are harassing you and you do not have any debts send them a Cease & Desist.  Make sure you reference 15 USC 1992 Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.

If they do not C&D at that point, regardless of which telephone number they use, they are breaking the law.

This type of collection agency will use multiple numbers to try and outwit debtors.  If you don't owe, send them the C&D and get them off your case.  Make sure you inform them to contact the debt originator too.  Otherwise, the debt originator will continue publishing your number as a potential reference.

This company calls my work and says I owe them money and that I need to settle my debt. Grant it that I have debts but they refuse to give me details unless I give them a pymt. Why would I pay someone I don't know? For all I know, I'm paying my creditors and then if I pay this company as well, I could be paying twice (unnecessarily). I don't have a problem paying my debts but I do want to know who they are and what the debt is first before I start giving them my credit card for payment. When I tried to call back a few times, there was a pre-recorded msg that said "all circuits are busy." It makes me wonder whether this company is legit or not....maybe not

OMGosh!  This number left a VM on our answering maching..   same thing we are behind on any payments.. Returned call Call Cannot Connect.   The message said they had a matter that needed to be resolved today.

Just came in from supper and had a VM on AM.  You can not make out what the first 3 or 4 words are, but they said I must call them ASAP, tonight to resolve an issue.  I have tried time after time and all I get is "circuits are busy now"  I have checked and it is not the phone circuits that are busy.  I do not know what in the hell is going on, however, I will be glad when I can talk with those jerks!
