this company is harras and me

Please stop harassing me looking for someone i do not know.

800.433.0804 is the return number they left on the voice mail. They called and blocked the number.I used Trap Call and was able to unblock the number.the number they called from was 949.536.8205, from Irvine CA, West & Associates. They told me I have a lawsuit being filed on a credit one card I never had.  They wanted me to give them a credit card number so they could negotiate a settlement. I told them I knew they were a scam and they hung up..I tried to call them back, but they blocked me. They guy said his name was Steven agent 109.

They have called me twice now on a debt that is 9 years old and claim the company is moving forward rapidly and taking me to federal court when I have never gotten one notice about the debt going to court. Also the debt is for 700 dollars, I wasn't aware that is a federal level. i actually denied the debt because i am in the process of dealing with debt consolidation to fix my credit, and i told him even if the debt was valid, its past the statue of limitations as in my state they have 6 years to take you to court for payments and he tried to argue with me and tell me i didn't know my state rule and i had to pay, the funny thing is the number he was using came up as a Wisconsin number yet the 1800 number he left says its in California.

Thank you for your post. Same thing happened to me. I asked them who credit one bank n.a. is! They said its a credit one visa card, right then i knew. Ihave not ever had a visa card before. They are scammers

Total scammers -- West and Associates -- using scare tactics.  Anyone who has had credit problems in the past, as well as older individuals, are targeted.  They will call and send official-looking letters -- ignore them -- it will be wasted money if you pay anything.  If money is owed to anyone, call that company and speak with them rather than sending money to these fakes.

Thank you for your post.  Same thing happened to me.  Government offices usually send an official letter and they have interpreters.  When I spoke to them in Chinese (there are a large population of Asians in California) they hanged up.

They have been giving a name and this time a location of a legal issue.  They have stated the legal firm they are with and very official sounding.  This is the third call and this time I looked it up.  Get a real job!!!!

Called my daughter first and said he was Jason Duff from West & Assoc. out of southern California but are a national company.   Said it was a debt that was going to have legal issues and court dates for me to attend so she needed to call me right away and have me call him back.   Called him immediately and he repeated what he told her sounding very scary and lawyer like.  Said it was a Credit One Bank obligation that I owed $647 but with penalty and interest the amount owed would be almost $1900.  He did say that they would settle for $1207 if I got back to him within 48 hours.   He had the last 4 digits of my social security number and dates of:  5/3/2004 (opened account), 3/18/2009 (last payment of $80), and finally 11/9/2009 (the date that he said was very important - the charge off date).   I honestly can't remember having this card but have had credit card problems in the past so I wasn't sure.

Demand WRITTEN proof of the "problem" that is MAILED to you before paying.  That is considered official notification... Not email, or phone call or fax or test!

The big reduction in money due is a red flag to me AND you are not warned if a court summons is coming!!

Someone named Danny Castillo left a message that they were looking for my husband about a property in his home town (he never owned a property until we married and we don't live anywhere near his home town). They said they would speak to him, his spouse, or his attorney..... Well there going to speak to me and I'm going to tell them they are scammers!!!!

These boneheads are going off old credit reports and half a$$ info that's out there, when it happens to one person you do'nt really think about it too much, but read all the reports here with everything in common, total scam deal going on, block there numbers.

Pretty much got the same interaction with these guys as everyone else. They actually called looking for my mom. They tried to scare us with a case number and even harass other members outside of our immediate family saying if she didn't contact them as soon as possible they would go after her. How they got their numbers, I have no idea. But it seems they have nothing else better to do and go to great lengths in trying to scare everyone in our family, I mean EVERYONE, even relatives far down the lineage I don't even know well. I've had to repeat the same story to each relative they've called explaning my mom is okay, nothing to worry about, it's just a scam. Sorry!! How annoying...

Just got off phone with Jason Duff. He scared me with all kind of credit info on me and 3 settlement choices for a credit card debt with Credit One Bank from 2006 for Visa card.  Gave me 3 payment options ranging fromone payment of 998. to 4 payments totaling 2086.00. Can not remember this bill.  Will wait and see what happens.
