- Collector| 11 repliesHanna IS a collection & litigation law firm. What they dont collect, they may sue. So no, they are not being deceitful. The deceit lies with you not agreeing to the terms of your contract with your creditor. You agreed to pay them based on the purchases you made against the credit line, you didnt, you default, & still expect customer serivce? You are no longer entitled to customer service from a collector. Our job is to get our clients paid not be concerned with your sob stories. Pay your bills & the calls will stop. Also collection agencies are not required to prove they are legit, call the original creditor and verify this yourself.

- Bill replies to CollectorThe debt is my responsibility, but the credit card companies are trash and all they do is play games to get us foolish people to use their cards and their money. Then they raise the limits so you can charge more, and then send you transfer checks and all other games to encourage you to spend more. They are predators who prey on peoples desire to purchase things without having to save up for it or have the money before they buy. Then turn all nasty when people have trouble paying.
Bank of America offered me a settlement, and said that I had until the end of the week to accept and send the payment. I accepted and had called and told them that I couldn't get the money together in time, and they said that was ok and to send it in anyway. I called several times to confirm, and everytime they said it was ok. So I sent it, along with the settlement letter. They cashed the check and a few months later they started sending a bill saying that I was behind and that I still owed the rest. Then the calls started coming again, and I told them I settled, but they kept calling. Some of their callers said well that doesn't seem right that we would keep calling, and that they would look into it. The calls stopped. Now I get a call from this trash Mr. Butler, who is a fake name. Then I call back and get forwarded 4 times and have to go over why I am calling. Finally I get to talk to a woman, who clearly is not Mr. Butler, and she says that all of the people calling are just hearsay and that since I didn't get it in in time then the letter and settlement are not valid. So yeah, creditors can be decietful trash!! - AlfalfaHanna, Frederick J. & Assoc.

Bud Says...
"A TOXIC WASTE DEBT COLLECTOR!"
Fred Hanna, the poster boy for BAD collection agencies has been around a long time. Fred and his group of sleazy debt collectors have been using intimidation and legal threats as a collection tool for longer than I can remember. If anyone ever decides to do a movie about the disgusting, sleazy, slime-balls of the collection industry, FREDERICK J. HANNA would make the PERFECT model.
If you receive a letter or are sued by Hanna for anything that relates to Bank of America, treat it as fraudulent. It seems that Hanna will lie on court affidavits about his position and most affidavits attached are bogus in the information stated. Fred J. Hanna is NEVER to be trusted, his court filings should ALWAYS be challenged, and he has been known to lie about trivial and major items. Fred is concerned about one thing; separating you and your money.
Treat Fredrick J. Hanna as the parasite he is, contact me for referral to a local consumer law professional if you are involved with Hanna.
Fred Hanna may be operating for LVNV Funding as well. Check them out under America's Worst...

- Harley replies to CollectorYou sound like the type that would stand next to a gurney with someone bleeding to death and [***] at them to get their checkbook out and write you a check. Most of you are scum sucking bottom feeders that lie so badly you have to get someone to call your dog for you.
You immediately assume everyone is a deadbeat and trying to rip off those beloved credit card companies and other creditors. Try getting a reality check some time. Bad things do happen to people and sometimes they just can't make their payments. Try using some common sense with a little compassion some time. - HarleyCollector calls home and office from local Atlanta number 770-916-9220

- RAM replies to CollectorI have dealt with Bank of America for my debt instead with Frederick J. Hanna & Associates, PC. or any other collection and law firm agencies. Customer Service should/must be granted in a well mannered state at all times, should/must be condescending, and keep more a sense of respect when treating customers from banks like Bank of America, with reputable image.
Good Luck to all.

http://mycollectorcom.blogspot.com/2008/11/my ... d-by-donna.html - MisseyI received a message from someone named Tom Donald or Danum asking me to call him back at 18004506575 x364(9,6 or maybe 2). The voice was very distorted on the voice mail. I suggest that if you want people to call you back, you should leave a clear message with a clear name and phone number so that people can actually reach you if they want to.
I don't even owe any debt or have a Bank of America Credit/Debit card. I know I don't have to deal with these people. I can careless if they sue me. I haven't done anything wrong. If they want to waste their money and file a lawsuit then so be it. - It's ABOUT Time!| 1 replyHanna is FINALLY being hauled into court for abusive debt collection practices:
Complaints pile up against debt collectors
Consumers complain that a Marietta debt collection firm uses deceit and abusive tactics to collect money, even when it isn’t owed, records show.
Enough complained that the Georgia Governor’s Office of Consumer Affairs began investigating last fall. It ordered Frederick J. Hanna & Associates to answer questions about collection practices, consumer disputes and what it does to ensure the validity of debts.
But for three months the state’s top consumer watchdog agency and the debt collector have been in a standoff.
Frederick J. Hanna & Associates says its tactics are none of the state agency’s business. Because it’s a law firm, the debt collector contends it is outside the consumer office’s jurisdiction. It refuses to answer the agency’s questions.
“We don’t feel like they’re entitled to anything. Period,” Frederick Hanna said. He said his firm gets 50,000 new debt files each month and its collection methods are legitimate.
The consumer office says it has a right to investigate whether the firm’s tactics are breaking state law. “If we perceive an infraction of the law, we don’t believe your status as a law firm will protect you,” said Bill Cloud, a spokesman for the consumer office.
