Called me and left no message. My voicemail clearly states I don't answer unknown callers and I don't call back those without a message.

It's a scam about bogus directv deals that was too good to be true. They called my cell at work from 855 880 6067 about 2wks ago and I said I'd call them after work. If you call number back they identify themselves as directv loyalty rewards. We almost fell for it except person had a thick foreign accent and was talking too fast and we told them to send info by email which he never did. Somehow they knew the tel no associated with our account as well as our pkg. So we called same number from my cell to fond out why no email and got a tape message that number did not exist.  We called the real directv to report as we did not know what else to do. They said no such deal and would report to their security. We called the bogus number from a different line and got through as it must not have recognized number. They wanted the number associated with acct and when we too him we knew they were a scam and we'd report them he used the f word on us and hung up. Yesterday I got a call from the 2nd 800 number but they did not leave a message. I called them back and got the tape message ID ing the selves as directv loyalty so I hung up. I called later in the day and also from our other line and number was no longer operational
If anyone knows how to stop or report scams please let me know

HEAVILY accented guy called my cell.  Identified himself as part of the DIRECTV loyalty team with a great offer for longtime customers - $79/month for a gazillion channels and all the premium movie channels, too.  Told him we don't watch those channels anyway and he insisted that, at the least, his offer would save us money every month over what we are currently paying. While my husband went to look up our most recent (monthly) auto pay, I asked," Can you see our account?  And can you tell me what my monthly charge is currently?"  "Yes, Ma'am.  I see it right here - you are paying $175.00 a month."  I burst laughing and replied,"The hell we are!"  Response:  "Yes, Ma'am, I see it right here."  My husband whispered "$64.00 for the past year."

    SCAM!!!

Called me from this number 3 days ago. Although as a rule I don't answer unknown numbers I answered thinking it was from a company I had done business with. I said "hello" three times and hung-up after no response.
Got a call this evening from the same number. Again, after saying "hello" three times and getting no response I was just about to hang-up when I heard a voice. Like the other complaints, it was a man with a foreign accent claiming to be with DirecTV loyalty program. Stated he wanted to offer me a deal that would "drop your bill by $75 a month". Told him I wasn't interested because I no longer do pay televison and I ended the call. Immediately I realized, "how is he going to drop my bill by $75 when I cancelled my service 2 years ago?!"
    This is definitely a scam.

I answered because I've seen the number show up lately on caller ID. I said hello twice then a click & a Asian man came on with the spiel that they would 'save me $70/ month for 2 years & get all the premium channels for 6 months all I had to do was pay for 6 months of service up front'. I almost laughed my ass off!
    What a dumbass scheme....

Received a call on a Sunday offering to reward me from man with heavy British accent.  2 years, no contract, current package, for $75, however you must pay for the first 6 months up front, $450.  Too good to be true?  Not a polished sales pitch,  When I asked how do I know you're DirecTV?  This is the number he gave me to call to verify.  I instead called DirecTV from the number in their book to check on any promotions they were running.  Surprise, not them.  However they were running a promotion that reduced my bill with a new receiver.  I asked if they had heard of this scam, he personally had not but his co-workers had.  I asked if Mgt was aware of it, he thought they were.  Beware of any call you receive that asks you for a credit  card number!

I called this number back and told the "gentleman" that if these calls continued, I would report him to law enforcement. I was promptly bombarded with F--- YOU at least 5 times, and then he hung up. I then spent 30 plus minutes speaking with DirecTV reps about this. EVERYONE, call 1-800-DIRECTV and report this problem. They were very glad I called and promised to take action.

It sounds like the caller was not a gentleman, or associated with DIRECTV, but simply an AH scammer!

Same as others...tried to hide his heavy accent, said his name was Paul Smith...when i said he didn't sound like a Paul Smith he replied "I am an American".  This is like the fourth time I've gotten a call like this so I played with him a bit...told him his number is showing up on websites as a scam and he said "you shouldn't believe everything people tell you"...Hah

His responses were to questions I never even asked but ones he probably gets all the time like he insisted he WAS DirecTV when I never even asked.

Scary thing is I asked him what my name was and he knew it...I'm not on Social media at all and never give out my cell number (almost always give my wife's cause she answers and i usually do not)

Checked my DirecTV account and what do you know...for some reason they have my cell (I must have given it to them when they installed it 9 years ago)

I'm calling DirecTV to see if they had a security breach cause there's no other way they would have my cell#.

BTW the "Call Type" below should include 'Scam' because 'Telemarketer' is too kind of a word for these low-lifes!!

What is even worse than the scammers.  I called directv and asked to speak to the fraud department and after 15 minutes gave up after talking to some nitwit in billing. I must have asked him 20 times if not once to connect me to fraud department  and all I got was what kind of fraud. I asked can you handle fraud he said no. then I said then connect me to the fraud department and guess what?   I got the same  a***shole back asking the same scripted questions the first time.  Scammers are bad but directv is worse. they don't even care they are being scammed since it is not their money and they could care less about the subscribers.  So now after dumpng Comcast, and in November directv not a lot of choices left. Bye bye tv!

Got 3 calls today (Sunday) The $75 Direct Tv scam. Called "real" Direct Tv between calls & they verified not from them. After 2nd call they sent an email with details that looked very authentic except with poor language. Somehow they had my name, number, info that I was a customer, and an E-mail address.  Guess it's time to change passwords and create another email for possible scams.

Just got another call. Apparently I wasn't clear enough the last time he called. Evident he is using an autodialer; same scenario: I said "hello" three times and was about to hang up when I heard a click and the same foreign, male voice as before said "hello". We traded "hellos" back and forth until he hung up. I'll be adding this number to my blocked calls list.
