I think that this a collection agency, but the person was speaking before my machine ended and she did not leave the name of the company.  She did mention the times that they are open.

Got an automated message asking me to call this number.  The automated system apparently did not wait for the "beep", so the first portion of the message is missing--it began with "a debt collector from Asset Acceptance".  The message repeated, and only then did the recipient's name stated.

Same as above, leaving message on my cell phone, but they don't wait for the beep, so most of the message is cut off.

Thet called and my husband answered the phone.They said they wanted to talk to my son. He told them that he didn't live there any more and didn't have a phone. He left a name and a extension #. I know my son is making payments to a company but this wasn't them.

But it is the "by continuing to listen" part -- they need to add "you acknowledge that you are a voicemail device!!!!!"

This is what I get now when I dial this number.  "The number you have dialed has been disconnected or is no longer in service.  Please check the number and dial again."  Apparently they keep changing their toll-free number because they don't want people calling them.  They're only happy when they can harrass people.

recieved call from this 800-455-2554 number but it is automated so the first thing I am told to do is to press 1 if I am this person,  I pressed 1 just to see if I could get a person but then another automation asked to verify again that I was this person so I did but then it went silent and the phone clicked off.  This agency continues to make phone calls to me quite often but I am never able to get a live person.  I feel that some government agency should be made aware of this number and require this business to report to it's caller who they are because quite frankly I am thinking that this could be some type of new scam with 800 numbers.

call daily sometimes 4 and 5 times half message is cut off and never leaves a name that I can remember.

Female caller. Does not say who she is or who she represents and hangs up.
Never engage these people on the phone. Always ask them to send you a hard copy of the bill they say you owe with your signature on it, and there letterhead. Don't give them any additional info like email. If you owe them something and they are calling you at home they should have your home address. Tell them to mail it to you.

They don't wait for the answering machine to finish the message, so I never get the full message.  They are calling for a person that does not live at my house any more.  I just wish they would stop.

It's Asset Acceptance, a ruthless annoying collection agency that will go to all lengths to collect whatever balance they are pursuing, up to and including bank account garnishments.

Blood computer generated crap.  They called looking for a Joseph Towser... whoever in the dickens he is.  I have had this number for over 15 years, so they cannot HONESTLY state that they have outdated information.
Got the routine menu of press this for that... did that, informing them that they DID have the wrong number for this 'person" only to be rewarded by a click.
I PROMISE IN THE FUTURE NOT TO OFFER EQUAL CONSIDERATION TO EACH AND EVERY TOLL FREE/UNPUBLISHED NUMBER THAT CALLS MY HOME PHONE... FROM THIS DAY FORWARD, I PROMISE TO PICK UP... AND THEN HANG UP.  WHEN THEY GET THE IDEA THAT I AIN'T GONNA LISTEN TO CRAP CONCERNING FOLK THAT ARE NOT RELATED TO ME, THEY MAY CHOOSE TO STOP CALLING.  EITHER WAY, THEIR SONG AND DANCE WILL FALL ON DEAF EARS.

They call and are looking for someone named Simon. I tell them they have the wrong number but they still call anyway. ugh
