They left a message stressing urgency to call on a personal matter, the caller id said "home land"; obviously capitalising on securty fears in our country.  i called the number they left and got no answer, i called the caller id "home land" @ 623-238-6139 and got an error message that the number was not available.  i'd say it was a collection agancy but i have NO debt oustanding...  Hmmmm

Received a call from Mrs. Compton indicating the urgency to return her call.  Her message indicated she attempted to send me an SOA (which I'm presuming is a Statement of Account), and it came back to her "underliverable - wrong address".  Hey, they know everything else about me, why not my address?????????? If these calls are so urgent, why are they not identifying themselves???????????

After a short battle with these lovely people, collecting on a bogus Sprint account for "U.S. Asset Management", victory is ours, and off my husband's credit. What they sent for "validation" was definitely not, so they were sent a letter "Final Notice of Intent to Sue", again explaining to them what validation was required. Received a response from their "Compliance Manager" (I so love that title, especially from a bottom feeder) that the account was turned back over to the client (which happens to be an offshoot of their own company and the same Paul Leary has his thumbs in both pies) and deleted from my husband's credit file. Bud, why do bottom feeders try to hide the fact that they are collecting for themselves?

I received a call from these people as well regarding, well, who knows what, as the extension I dialed turned out to be some rude mis-spoken jerk that wouldn't answer any of my questions.  First, he wouldn't tell me what CCA stood for, stating that it doesn't Mean anything.  He tried to play dumb after I explained that IBM stood for International Business Machines.  In any account, they obviosuly had the wrong number and I told them not to call anymore.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act states that "Identify themselves and notify the consumer, in every communication, that the communication is from a debt collector..." I would think that this and the above practices from other posters falls within this category.

I received a call from these people last night; the caller asked for a friend of mine who died in June. How they got my phone number is a mystery to me. When I called them back and asked the name of their company,I was told that it was CCA. When I asked what that meant, I was told that it didn't mean anything. When I asked why they wanted to talk to my deceased friend, I was told that it was a private business matter. Then, the woman hung up on me. The number that the caller left on my home phone was 1-800-455-8026. The extension number was 14105. Who are these people? What's their
deal? Why doesn't someone like the Better Business Bureau put a stop to these calls?

Received a message at 8:43 am from these people for my sister. My sister doesn't live with me and never has.  In addition, my number isn't listed and was recently changed. Also, my sis always calls my cell because she doesn't know my house number.  I find it very odd that they would be calling my house for my sis, no less. The number that came up was in the 616 area code, I erased it off my caller ID before taking the number down.  However, the rep "thomas" left the 800 number to call.  It's kind of spooky.

Called and asked for my business owner, "matt fisher" (wrong name) and then said he must have changed his name when i corrected him.  told me to give him a message of urgency to return the call.  when i asked if there were any more details for me to pass along all he said was that it was 'urgent'.

First a recording, then a person who went by the name of Dave Grady. He said he was from a collection agency, however I have no other debt except for a student loan in which I deal directly with the lender.

My husbands mom and dad just called me upset and worried, their son is in Iraq,so when the caller ID says anything goverment of course they are going to get scared. this was the number called 1 800 455 8026. she called the number back, no one answered. I had just walked in my house with the phone ringing, her all worried. My husband and I live accross country from them. It takes us two days to go visit. We have never lived with my inlaws. Scary how they got their number. I just tried to call the number no one answered.

Mrs. Compton called and said I owed the City of New Haven, Connecticut an old tax bill.  I have not lived in New Haven, CT since 2005 and all my tax bills are paid.  I called the City of New Haven and asked if I have any outstanding taxes, I do not.  BEWARE!

Received a call from Chris @ CCA stating it was an urgent business matter.  Left a phone number of 800-455-8026 ext 14144.  We dont know who this company is and dont have any past due accounts. Asked what CCA was and he said it's a business.  Not really even sure who he asked for.  Quick talker and sounded like an a**.

Don't give them the time of day.  Incorrect information about me.  I asked for names and numbers gave to the local authorities.  Rip off company.  Be very aware of these companies. Give information your local authorities.

Left the phone # 1-800-455-8026  EXT 4027.  Was told it was urgent to call back and mention claim #.  It usually a message stating if I stay on the line I acknowledge that I am who they are calling.  Calls happen between 8 am and 11 am   then again at 7pm - 9pm always a recording never a live person.

I received a message on voicemail (at work, unlisted back line), tonight, identifying me by name, stating that it was from Amery (?) Quinn, regarding "a personal business matter of 'yaws', it's very important that you contact me today"  at (800) 455-8026, ext 14843.  Called the number, got the switchboard only identifyng the company as "CCA".  I hung up.

He knew my information and he wantwd to know my credit card number.
I told him that I am not going to let him know my credit card number and he was upset and yell at me.

Im a secretary at a hospital.  they called my office and asked for a guy named King (a doctor).  I asked what department: they didnt know.  I asked if he was a doctor: they didnt know.  I asked what it was about: "an urgent personal matter".  The caller said his name was Montgomery and to call his extension at 14013.
