To confuse him, I asked 'which computer' and he abruptly said 'your HOME computer' and that i needed to be in front of it and turn it on. With that, i hung up.

- Cambry replies to KateKate's message is the first useful one here. I took too long (calling up this page) while answering, when I did I heard that VERY common female recorded voice saying "Goodbye". Caller ID = "Toll Free Call".

- Tomthick accent, a little difficult to understand, sounded like India or that part of the world ... said there was a problem with my computer that needed to be fixed ... I told him I wasn't at home at the moment, didn't have access to my computer, and would call him back ... actually I was home, but I know for a fact there's nothing wrong with my computer, and even if there was I'd never let a total stranger access it ... needless to say, I didn't call him back ... obviously a scam

- H8 scammersCalled and said he was responding to my request for help from Windows. I had requested technical assistance from my daughter's homeschool computer department and thought it was them. I questioned his identity and he said yes he was from the school. After he got access to my computer I noticed he did not answer my original inquiry which was help with the microphone. At that point I became suspicious I closed all his windows that he had opened and unplug my computer. He admitted after that that he was not from the school and apologized I hung up. This is a scam.
- Caller: "Windows"
- KateWhen I answered a recorded voice said "goodbye." There was a lot of muffling sound for about 4 seconds and then disconnected.
