- GARNISHED 400 A MONTH replies to being garnishedThis company is General Revenue Corporation and they are completely legit. I have had a student loan in default for almost a year and I ignored the calls and now they are garnishing me for $400.00 a month! I recommend answering the phone and at least listen to what they tell you so you don't end up screwed like me! They told me my min payment would have been $60.00 a month but now I'm stuck in garnishment for years. Good luck! And and pay your bills!!
- muffypay your bills you scumbags!
- don'tplay'em| 7 repliesHey Muffy...STFU! I say screw 'em. First off...education should be a right, like health care. These idiots bought the debt...Why would you buy somebodies debt? Look at my credit score before you buy my debt you idiots. You would see that I ain't exactly prompt with my payment during this Bush era depression. Ohhh scary..they called on Saturday Morning. I just hit the ignore button on the old cell phone and thats the end of that. Garnishment?????? I closed my bank account...good luck finding the money you [***]. You need a Bank account....people just think they do. It is obvious that people who work at these stupid companies are the ones leaving comments like muffy's.

- don'tplayemsnottoosmart replies to don'tplay'em| 4 replieshaha i guess you don't know what a garnishment is. Let me explain, when you start working, they will take your wages. I can see why you don't have a job or care about your credit, not too smart are ya?

- MrsM| 1 replyNot everyone that can't pay or doesn't pay their student loan debt is a scumbag...this isn't child support idiot.
- screw'em replies to don'tplayemsnottoosmart| 3 repliesI have a great job that pays CASH bozo. No garnishment is possible. I don't need a bank account, as I have prepaid credit cards. So life is pretty fine and dandy for me. Dropping out of your [***] idea of a lifestye/economy was the best thing I've ever done.
- JM424 replies to mjbThey might be calling someone who used to have your number but they don't just call about student loans. What high dollar loan did you default on? I googled the number because it was on my caller ID, now that I know who it is, I remember that I need to send out our agreement, to pay $45 a month until the $2680 is paid off. I think they were great to work with. They asked ME what I could do and when I worked with them they cancelled the garnishments.
- mmretired| 2 repliesGot call from this number today. Retired many years ago. Don't owe money to anyone. Never had a school loan. Should I call them and tell them they are mistaken since I've had my phone number for over 30 years? I don't want to give them too much personal info about myself!

- Under Cover AttorneyI might get fired if they found out I gave out this info:
Per F.C.C. regulations; read the following statement to them, if they talk over you just continue and shout it to them, "This phone call is being recorded. State your full name and mailing address for the record. Your company has been instructed verbally and in writing that this alleged debt is in dispute.
This phone call consists of harassment and you are in violation of Federal debt collection laws. I may sue you personally for harassment and numerous Fair Debt Collections Practices Act violations if you do not cease and desist your illegal harassment immediately. Then hang up the phone and write a "Cease Telephone Communications" letter and mail it certified mail, return receipt, signature required to the person you spoke with, if you didn't get their name then send it to the company in care of "Telephone Collections Manager".- Caller: General Revenue Corporation

- do a google search replies to Mr. D.one address is:
General Revenue Corporation 11501 Northlake Dr. Cincinnati, Ohio 45249-1643 - angrymanThis is a credit collection agency (General Revenue Corporation) randomly calling anyone with the same last name in the City of Charlotte in the off chance they will locate their prey. They ignore the do not call lists and badger everyone. They should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. In my case they even knew that nothing in their records related to me except having the same last name... which is of course a very common name in the southern part of the US! They called us every day for two weeks... and only stopped when we threatened to sue!

- Typical replies to screw'em| 1 replyYou are the reason our economy is the way it is. You feel you have the right to have an education, which you do, but you need to pay for it, not the tax payers. My guess you getting paid under the table means you aren't paying your taxes either, typical minded liberal. When our economy completely tanks out, you will have no where to go, pay your bills!!!!
- YaYa replies to GGI got a call from this place today. I returned the call and they informed me that some one I knew 8 years ago used me as a reference to whatever she was applying for. So, this place is not just about student loans and the collection on student loans.
