- Meg| 3 repliesSomeone called me from this "company" looking for my sister. My sister does not live in the same city and has a completely different last name from mine. My question to them was how did they find me and my phone number. They refused to tell me. Does anyone know what their tactics are for finding me? They wanted me to give them my sister's phone number which I refused since they wouldn't provide me with how they found me, my name, my phone number. They instead gave me this 800 number which I immediately googled only to find this page-which is very helpful. My sister would never give out my information-I know she wouldn't.
I found their web site. There is a contact us form which I will fill out and demand to know how they came about my information.

- RhondaAfter months of receiving calls for not only my ex-husband of 20 years, but his wife, I finally pressed the number to speak with a live body. I got Regan Mansfield who promised advised that he gave my number as a contact number. I've been remarried for 18 years and live in a different state. Furthermore, he wouldn't have my number as it's a home-business line, so this was an outright lie.
Any further calls will be considered harassment. - Anonym replies to Eric| 15 repliesThey keep calling family members, but when we call them back, they won't say what they want their business is without us giving personal information. I'm guessing they're scammers phishing for information. NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!!!!!!
- Becky replies to Meg| 1 replyDid you hear anything back on this? I just contacted the BBB and filed a complaint. This is the most unethical "company" that I have ever spoken with. Oh -- I tried to work out a payment arrangement with them, the declined to accept my offer. Therefore, I am trying to pay off the debt but they do not want my money. If this went to court, I would win.
- lissajedi| 3 repliesI got a call last week from this number. My husband actually answered, and they asked for my sister, we think. My husband told them that the name they were looking for was a very common name, could they be more specific, and who were they calling from? They gave a first name, middle initial and last name, all which matched my sister, but they would not say what company they were from. They said they were not allowed to give their company name, that it was a personal matter, and that my name & number was given to them by my sister(?) as a contact. My husband put me on the phone, and when I mentioned that I did have a sister whose name matched, they asked me to give a message, and gave the 1-800-473-8117 number with a contact name and extension. When I asked if they could give me a company name to pass on, since my sister won't call if she doesn't know who it is, I was told the same thing, that they are not _allowed_ to give their company name, that it was a personal matter. I emailed my sister with the info, don't know what came of it. Ferris Nelson was the person who called, and his extension is 3307.

- BabyGirl214| 1 replyThis company called my sister-in-law. I've never given her information out, but you can go online and get relative's info...age...town...who may be aquainted with you/them, and get information from there. I forget where I found that website, but it exists. The call was in fact for me, I do owe the debt and they are an outside collection agency. I have been on a debt settlement program for a few months and that company is suppose to handle everything. So, I called this number back and got extention 3379, gave them the debt settlement company's phone number and they will handle it from there! They have lots of ways to contact other family members.....they try very hard because they buy these accounts and hope to get money out of the person that owes the debt. That's how they make their money!! Hope this helps.

- M.A.| 19 repliesWell, honestly, yourselves got you into this mess. First of all. You went and got something you couldnt pay for. And because you couldnt pay your being called. What idiots. Now your mad at us for calling you??? Why dont you get off the computer get a job and pay your bills? Instead of sitting there typing stupid comments when your the reason we have jobs.
So go ahead and create more bills for yourself. And continue to BOO HOO because we call you on them. Why dont you become an adult and pay your bills, then the calls will stop and you wont have to worry about us calling your neighbors. Or your family members, or your place of employment. Face Reality people. I make a hell of a living. Thanks to you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my kids thank you for that toooo........- Caller: Proud Member of CCB
- I laugh at you! replies to M.A.| 13 repliesM.A. - you call yourself a professional? What a JOKE!!!! First off, try using this neat little tab on your computer, it's called spell check, secondly, it is highly ILLEGAL to be calling neighbors AND places of employment to try and collect a debt. LEARN YOUR JOB!
- M.A. replies to I laugh at you!| 12 repliesNo, it is not. Go check your Federal Laws, I have a list in front of me, at work, and at home. I know the laws, obviously you don't. There are a few states that do not allow us too. Out of 50 there are 12. And only then its if we have a GOOD home number for you. Face it, this is all besides the point. You dont want to be called??? Then ONE SOLUTION> Pay Your Damn Bill. Stop making Excuses. You owe the debt.
- I still laugh at you replies to M.A.| 11 repliesFirstly, I have NO debt. I happen to have stellar credit, just no debt. My home is paid for, my 2008 Tahoe is paid for, as are the other 3 vehicles, my daughters collage is paid for, so on. If I can't pay cash, I don't buy. Secondly, where I live, it IS illegal to call places of employment and neighbors. Thirdly, I was looking through the postings after looking up a number, and saw your almost illiterate post.
- M.A. replies to I still laugh at you| 4 repliesThen you have no reason to say anything. Anywho, why do you care about my typing? Are you my typing tutor? Sorry graduated High School a long time ago, and I dont really care what you think. Have a nice day.
- M.A. replies to I still laugh at you| 5 repliesWhat the heck do you do that you can pay high dollar cash up front for stuff? Run Drugs????????? Probably. LOL
- Former collector replies to M.A.If you truly believe the trash you talk, you have no ethic and no life. Why don't you get a REAL job. You will be the same position one day count on it and SUCK it!!!!!!
