Paragon way, dont know them all caller id said was toll free, left message call them, I'm not.  Looked online collection agency

just received a call from them wanting me to verify the last four numbers of my SS. I told them I would not until they told me what were they calling about. He then asked me if my address was such and such. I told him no. Didn't tell them it was an address from a few years back. Oh yeah, the number they called was my cell phone.

this number belongs to Paragon Way in Austin, Tx. They are a collection agency that buys old debt for pennies on the dollar, usually debt that is barred by the statute of limitations ... in other words they can't sue you to collect. They also don't have the necessary paperwork to validate the debt ... so you should send them a letter requesting validation (or they have to stop contacting you. If they don't, hire a lawyer because they owe you money now!

Left a message on my home telephone voice mail saying Paragon Way needed to speak to me. I called the number back the person on the line tired to verify my 1st and last name and my last 4 didgites of the social security number I told him I couldn't do that unless he told me what it was about and he hung up.

JUST GOT ANOTHER TOLL FREE CALL WHEN NOBODY ON THE OTHER END SAYS ANYTHING. I WANT THEM TO CONTINUE TO CALL ME SO I CAN MOUNT A GOOD CASE FOR QWEST TO CONSIDER IT A HARASSING CALL.  MAYBE I CAN "COLLECT" FROM THEM DOWN THE ROAD.

They call here every day. Hell with these people. Can someone make them stop? They are up to scamming people!!!!!

They have called 3 times in the past with the last being yesterday which lead me to recheck my “do not call" (donotcall.gov) registration expiration time and to Google up this site.  They seem to call at the most inconvenient times which makes me rather agitated, especially when they want personal information prior to answering my inquiry as to their business .

I have read: "They are a collection agency that also buys bad debt. From what I can tell they generally try to be PDCPA compliant.. remember if they are trying to collect a debt they have five days from initial contact to get you something in writing." also read :"There is absolutely no reason to ever speak with a third party debt collector on the phone. It will NEVER produce positive results for you, and there is no proof the call ever existed.

Demand everything in writing, and you only communicate by certified mail, return reciept requested. be sure to put the certified # on the letter itself, and keep a copy for your records. This is very important as it proves exactly WHAT you sent.

By the means above, simply send a CEASE COMMUNICATIONS request to them. Do not sign the letter, just print, and do not give them any info they do not already have. NEVER give them your SS#,DOB, Employment, etc. Just give them the phone# they are calling you on for reference, and tell them from this point on ALL COMMUNICATIONS with you must cease.

Now, when they violate, you can get paid!

They call my home sometimes 5 days on the same day! Please stop them from annoying people.

Called at 10:35 this morning and aked for someone by name that I have never heard of.  I told them that there was nobody here by that name and they quickly hung up.  This number calls all times of the day and evening and is constantly popping up on my caller ID.

The first call I got was early last month in September. I never answered because my cell phone is a pre paid number. I don't give that number out ever, but only just a handful of folks have it, family, friends, etc. So after that first call I got one 10 days later and I am out of phone minutes so I can't and wouldn't answer even if I had minutes. After September 14th, they have called me everyday almost and they call me like 3 to 5 times per day!! It's very annoying but I have kept my minutes low because I don't have the money for it.

I think this is a conspiracy! These nasty people have been  calling three to four times every day for two months!  Today I decided to answer the phone and they asked if I was Jerry Smith. When I said , "no". They hung up before I had the chance to tell them to stop their annoying phone calls.

Call my place like hell! Don't know what to do. I am considering a class law suit. Maybe this will teach them to respect hard working, tax paying American residents. We get home tired with a lot in our heads and still have to put up with this junk calls. Ludricous!

They call  a million times, and when I answer the phone they hang up. Annoying! Disrespectful!

kept getting calls from Paragon on my phone recorder at a vacation home. must have been 15 through tha last month. I happened to be there today when they called. I told the woman that called that I was tired of getting their calls and asked what they wanted. She kept asking me if I was the person she named and I told her I was not. She then asked for my last four ss Numbers. I told her that she could forget that. She than read off four numbers and asked if that was me. When I said no she said that I would be taken off their list. I decided they must be a collection agency so I looked for them on the internet. She was a real [***]!  I dont owe and deliquent bills. If they call again I will take some kind of action.

Just got another call from this number. They call at least once every day. Thank goodness my voip provider has individual call blocking. They will be next on my list. I have never answered their call and, after reading the comments here, I'm glad I didn't. I always come to 800notes.com to check numbers before blocking. I never answer numbers I don't recognize. Tired of sales, political and fund raising calls.

Daily, daily calls and it always seems to happen when my hands are full.  Maybe taking an air horn and blowing it into the phone when they call would do the trick..........hmmmm
