Received a call from this number on my cell phone. They did not leave a message. I am not sure how they got my cell phone number? I did not answer the call.

I had them call and leave an automated message on my sisters phone, who lives hours away!!

The phone number 1-800-489-7999 is a collection company called JL Walston.  They called for my ex-wife yesterday; told them to remove number, since we were divorced almost 8 years ago.  They called again today (Saturday) at 8am, I told them again that the number would not work.  They said my number was already removed and that they don't handle maintenance, so they have no control over the automated calling.

Only shows up as "919" on Caller ID.  I finally answered only to be told by a recording that they couldn't answer MY call right now and for me to call THEM back at..And the above number.   The audacity of people!  Call me, make me wait and then tell me to call them back they are too busy to talk to me!      Grrrrrrrrr!

The same thing just happened to me!  It's a collections agency?  I know they're not coming after me.  That is all very suspicious.  I'll make sure to be particularly nasty to them if they ever get the guts to call me directly.

Collections agencies are bad overall.  They used to call for an ex-employee where I used to work and they would call 5 times an hour!  One of the managers finally informed them that one more call would lead to pressed charges and they stopped doing it.  If this keeps up I'm going to change my number!

Bunch of filthy scamming rats - avoid them like the black plague of death that they are!

This is collection agency..... JL Wilson or aka North Star Collections. For me they were trying to collect money I owe to Capital One credit card.

This number will not stop calling my office phone. They aren't looking for me, they are looking for someone who hasn't worked in this office for 5 years. They will never disclose who they are. Each time they call they tell me they are removing my number. Clearly they are lying. What can I do to make them stop? How can I report them? This has to be illegal.

The person they are looking for is probably behind on a debt.  They may be still giving out your number as a contact number.

Next time they call tell them "I know you are a bill collector.  Apparently <name> is behind on his bills.  He no longer works here.  I have no idea where he lives or works.  I do not know how to contact him.  You have to stop calling this number."

Thats very similar to how I got rid of the loan company that was calling me looking for Michael the Deadbeat.

They keep calling me....on my GOOGLE VOICE NUMBER which is forwarded to my cell phone. I have no idea how they got my google number, but they are harrassing me on a CHAPTER 7 I filed and DISCHARGED on over a year ago. They are still trying to get money. Today I spoke with my attorney, and he is going after them in court. He said that if they are fined, I will see a nice check in the mail. I love the federal law. LOL   Losers!!

These people keep calling for a person that works in my office. This person been gone for almost 4 years now and they are still calling harassing this person. They have an automated thing and I keep removing my number from there contacts but they still call my business all the time 4 to 5 times a day. I really bothers me b/c I keep tell that this ex employee no longer works in my business. It makes me upset b/c I am the one getting harass and am not even the person they looking for.

This number just called me asking for a woman that used to rent the house that I am currently renting. I only know her name because she didn't forward her mail when she moved out, so even though she moved out almost a year ago, I still get a ton of mail for her. At different times in the phone call they said they were Bull City Financial and Worldbank. I am a little pissed that they somehow connected my cell phone number to this random stranger that is behind on her debts. I told them they had the wrong number and that they should remove me; they said they would, but I also used Verizon's number blocking service to block their 800 number just in case. We'll see if it does any good.

Hi, since last entry was like a year ago, they called me today and left no message.  either still a SCAM or a debt collector on a bill that can not be collected from me anymore due to Bankruptcy already discharged or debt was deemed uncollectable by original debtor.  These annoyin' pric-- are scum of earth, how do they live with themselves?  They buy lists from some major loan companies or credit card or whatever and try to collect uncollectable debts and the caller gets a commission for "makin' the sale".  Sicko, must be democrats all of them!

Received a call today from Bull City Financial Solutions looking for someone that hasn't had this number for over a year.  The lady was nice and said she would remove my number. Lets see if that works, LOL.

Got a message from 1-800-489-7999 saying they are a debt collector, but I owe nothing, so it has to be a scam of some sort. I hope they catch these people and their punishment should be, constant harassing phone calls, all day and night.

I was called by someone at this number saying they were calling about a debt.  I called back and they told me they had the wrong cell phone number and they would remove my name.  This is the second time they have done this.  I can't imagine how anyone would trust a debt collection service like this.

Someone called my wife from this number saying she owed money and to call them back as quick as possible !
After researching a little -looks like they are going into public records on past breakups and chasing debt even if it has been written off. Caller ID said unknown and the message said they were from City Financial.... really weird !!
