A Roger Thompson from this number has been calling my number for months and months and I don't know who he is or what company he is with and I have just about had it.  I believe my husband contacted him once before to find out what he wants and he has the wrong name.  We are not who he is looking for but he continues to call.  I am going to find out who to report this harrassment to and report it.

My husband's new cell phone number receives these calls all the time. He said when he called back a lady answered and when he asked for Roger Thompson, she hung up on him. When he called back a second time she did it again. He hasn't tried since. When I called today after answering his phone and hearing the same message, it just rang and rang, no answer. Anyone know how to stop these calls????

Yeah, we keep getting the same thing since we moved and got a new number. I tried several times answering the phone, hoping to get a person, but it's always the same crap: "This is Roger Thompson, and I need to talk to you about ...." We don't have a clue who "you" is to begin with, it could be anyone in a family of any amount. That's just stupid.

Well finally, I got mad, and I took the number down so I could call back and settle this once and for all. Some ignorant-sounding woman answered at which time I told her why I was calling. She just laughed like "ah I get that all the time.", then the next words out of her mouth were (and I was MORTIFIED!) "could you hold, please?". THAT did it. I was livid, and before that I was perfectly willing to talk about it, but that just DID it. I said "WHAT did you say?". She said "what?", and I repeated it as did she. After that, I uttered an expletive and just hung up. To me, that's just the ultimate in gall and inconceivable rudeness, since I took the time to call back and set things straight, and they don't even know who I am! I continued to call back, and the next time she just started screaming at me and trying to talk over me while I was trying to let her know that I was pretty p*d about it, but she refused to listen to a word. After that I called back several times and just hung up, hoping that would get the message across, since the idiot on the phone didn't have a clue. Then, she has the unmitigated GALL to say that she will sue me for harrassment! After they've called dozens of times with no names to give, I'd think I should sue them. If anyone is with me, leave a message here, I'll check back.

After that last fiasco, I don't know what to do to get rid of them, but if I get ONE more call from that agency I'm going to report them to the FCC or something. I'm not sure if that's the place to go or not, but right now it sounds about right. There's at LEAST 4, probably more of these people who call for the same person(s?) day after day, and after a while it gets REAL old. I just snapped, and probably will again. This is totally ridiculous how they seem to get by with it, but if you call and harass THEM, suddenly the same actions are worth "suing" over. Kinda funny, eh?

Well, we just got yet ANOTHER call from them, the last time they had our number blocked so I didn't get through to the super-ignorant and really cocky b**** who blatantly asked me to "hold" the first time I called. I called back, and lo and behold they had the number un-blocked again! Sometimes I wonder if some of these b******* aren't just selling these old uncollectible accounts back and forth, and short of changing our number (which may be even worse!), I don't know what else there is to do.
I DID finally talk to the arrogant (w)itch again, and she says "oh, dey stee-ah callit yo' numba?" I said yes, I've already reported you to the FCC or whatever it is, then she laughed again, like "I git dat aww da ti'" or something, then goes "I knows the numbah suh, thanks", and hung up on me. OOH these ignorant people are really starting to p*** me off BAD!

This person leaves a message saying he has business to discuss with me and
mentions something about a resolution.  He has called a few times the last time being today 1-29-09.  I have no idea who or what this is.

I was getting calls from Mark Thompson at the same number and I reported him to the Missouri no call. I no longer get calls from Mark but I do get calls from Roger so I just now reported him to the Missouri no call. If you do not have the Missouri no call please get it. You can look it up by name and fill it out on line. Its strange how adults act like children. Hope this helps.

Yep, this is a scam... They have you call back and act like they have no idea what's going on and ask for your name and social security number to look you up.

So, here is what I propose...  I'm assuming that they hate to have their time wasted just as much as the rest of us.  Therefore, I have been calling them everyday that they call me and inventing a new personality with some random fun quirks... for instance I often repeat the voicemail back to them when I am out of ideas.

So, have fun with it if you can't make it stop... eventually they will get sick of having you call back and make sure to remove your number... at least that's the idea.

A recording that says the caller is Roger Thompson, and asks me to call 1-800-0038. He has called at least 2 dozen times, and is a nuisance since I have a very ill person in my home.

Who the heck is he? I have no outstanding debt, and resent the interruption. He is a pain!

I hate this guy (Roger Thompson).  We have an unlisted number and yet we've been getting these phone calls since the day we activated the new number.  Sometimes it comes up as unlisted and sometimes it comes up as the 800 number.  This is the only telemarketing call I get...who is this guy and how did he get my number?  More importantly..how can I get him to stop calling me?!

yeah i've had several calls from this roger thompson also.  he never comes to the phone, i finally got some ignorant lady who when i asked for them to remove my number due to they had the wrong person she hung up on me.  then i called back and got some a##whole who thinks he's funny and when i asked who he was calling for and he told me i said that person doesn't reside at this number and never has had this number and he said how do i know that.  i told him i should know i've had this number for years.  he started laughing and i again asked him to remove the number out of their system and not to call back again or i was going to report them and all he did was laugh and said there wasn't anyone to report him.  i have already reported them to the donotcall.gov so hopefully they will put a stop to who ever this company is
