calls and says this message is for...then hangs up

mine was the same..called and said this message is for...then hung up

I have gotten a call from 800 496 8916 for the past two days. It's a recording and says "THIS IS A MESSAGE FOR..." and then hangs up! Then when I call them back, I get told that this call may be recorded, and then I get put on hold indefinitely. Wtf?

Just calls and leaves no message.

Calls twice a day and hangs up.  Reported to phone company as harassing phone call 9/3/09

1-800-496-8916 - seven calls over about two weeks. Only one voice mail left saying "This message is for" and then call terminated.

I get the same exact call. This has been going on for 3 weeks, and twice a day. I have tried calling the number and I get put on hold indefinitely. My cell is on the don not call list, apparently that doesn't apply to whoever these idiots are!

They call many times, if it is a creditcard co. they should at least leave a message so that I may contact them. I am calling this # back now and have been on hold for almost 10 minutes now.

I have been getting the same, I have tried to locate who this number belongs to but with no seccess.

Keeps calling my sons cell phone several times a day.  I called early one morning and it said to call back during business hours to make a payment.  When I call the number back, it puts you on hold for the longest time that I always have to hang up.  My sons cell number is on the DO NOT CALL list, and has been since he got his phone number.

Its probably a "trigger" call. meant to psychologically trigger an order that has been pre programmed. sleeper cells etc.???

someone needs to find out who this is and report it cuz this [***] is really starting to get annoying. i have been bothered with this about 9 times today.

I have gotten a call from 800-496-8916 for the past SEVERAL days. It's a recording that says, "this is a message for . . ." and then hangs up! Then when I call them back, I get told that this call may be recorded, and then I get put on hold indefinitely. This is an unbelievably annoying situation, as I am the head nurse at a facility and my phone is mostly for emergency situations when people are calling me. Please do what you can to locate where this is coming from so that a stop can be put to these calls! Thank you.
