This is a scam for a time share  company called Sunshine Vacations. Don't trust them

I can verify this is Sunshine vacations telemarketer.  That will Teach me to not sign up to win a free car!!

They call you if you register to win a free car or money at various events.  I believe it was at a Cleveland Indians game.

I got a call from sundance vacations, (an affiliate of sunshine).  They offerred me a trip, (which wasn't free no suprise, they said it wasn't over the phone) because I filled out an entry form to win their grand prize drawing, I was even told the name of the person who won that prize last year and where they were from (here is the link http://www.sundancevacations.com/2007drawingwinner.html).  So I decided to go check them out and they aren't a timeshare.  They promote for a company called TAN which is Travel Advantage Network (here is their website www.planwithtan.com) which is actually a discount vacation club, (kind of like AAA).  I timed my stay by my watch, (they told me on the phone I had to sit for an hour) politely refused to buy anything and got up with my vacation and left.  My husband and I used it and didn't have any trouble with the trip.  And BTW, the trip isn't free.  They told us over the phone that we were responsible for the taxes and a 50 dollar deposit for the hotel, which was refunded back to us after we took the vacation.

My husband and I got this call, went into Sundance Vacations and went to a "presentation" about something like a timeshare.  We actually bought a package but then canceled the next day because we found out if we wanted to stay at one of the all inclusive places that we would have to sit through another presentation at that hotel...Also the "free trip" is from a company names Spirit Incentives.  According to the better business bureau they have over 365 complaints so my husband and I just said forget it.  What a HUGE waste of our time.  Oh, and since then we have received 2 more calls in the last week saying "we won".  I did not hesitate to tell them what a bunch of BS it is.

A couple weeks ago I registered at a local mall to win a Hummer.  This week I received a phone call from "Travelwise (or Travel Wise, not sure if it's two words or one)  Vacations" telling us that we were picked to receive a free three-day trip to either Florida or Las Vegas, Nevada.  The person said that we would have to sit through a presentation.  We would have to pay the taxes for the trip and also a $50 deposit, which would be refunded to us at the end of the trip.  I asked if they had the drawing for the Hummer yet.  She said that it won't be held until February (assuming 2008).  It sounded like a scam and now that I've read all these other messages, I'm sure that it is. Thanks for the heads up on this one. We'll avoid any future calls from them.

Signed up to win an "ultimate sports give-away" or $50,000 at a Milwaukee Brewers game on Sept. 5. Have received about four calls within the last week, in which the caller leaves a message that the grand prize has not been drawn for yet but that I have won the three-day trip to Las Vegas or Orlando. The messages have become progressively more "concerned" regarding my failure to call back as they do not want me to miss out on this opportunity. After reading these posts, I think I'll let this one pass me by...

i dropped my name in a box to win 50,000$. just last night i got a call last night from 1-800-501-0100 saying i won a free trip from sundance to las vegas or orlando. since im 16 both of my parents have to pick it up and my mom wont go. i dont think its a fraud. if you go to the website you'll see that there have been past winners of the money. so you have to pay a little tax money and 50$ deposit thats given back to you. everything else is free. if my mom wasn't so mean i would definitely go.

So basically, we go by many names depending on where you live. In Columbus, OH we are sunshine. In Cleveland we are travelwise. In Texas we are Southern Journeys. In brookefield, WI we are Sundance I do admit that many of my coworkers try excessively to hard to push you into an appointment, but it is really a great deal. As a former employee, I can tell you it isnt a scam. Sometimes we offer 3day/2night trips to las vegas or orlando, sometimes we offer 3/2 Mariot hotel stays + $250 Internet shopping spree. Anyone can reviece this.

To qualify though you must,
make over 25000(combine if you have a spouse)
bring your spouse if you have one
and present two forms of ID

I would do it if they called me. I hear sometimes from people who have gone in the past that it was nice. I know that the trips duties wont cost me any more than 100 dollars. So, even if you didnt originally sign up, call in.

They'll book anyone. And afterwards they wont bother you (as long as you dont fill out any entry forms at the office!!!)

I signed up to win a car at a toby keith concert at blossom.  said I won a vacation, but they said the company was called "travel wise vacations". She said I needed to sit through a presentation and that they are located on rockside road in Valley View

This all just sounds to good to be true!!!!!!!  They are obviously trying to promote something with a "group" presentation at rockside road in valley view.  There has to be a catch to having a 3day/2night trip to orlando florida or Las Vegas. IT is all a big scam and waste of time.

I got a call after signing up to win a Hummer at Northolmsted mall for a free trip to Orlando or Las vagas, and said that the draw on the hummer is a few month later. They said that they have a promotional trip if I sit for a 1 hour interview. I would be responsible for taxes. They are at 9700 Rockside road. This sounds too similar, thanks for the heads up. I did not go.

I have had the exact same experience! "Geraldine" just called me up to confirm that we are going tomorrow. They have called us for about 5 weeks several times a week. I was convinced it was a scam and then they just convinced me to go. I am now thinking of canceling.

I made the mistake of filling out probably the same entry form as everyone else for $50,000 at a Chicago Blackhawks game and then made an even BIGGER mistake to call them back and inquire what it was all about. I must admit, it SEEMS legit but then again who knows. Reading "confused"'s post up there it makes it seem as though it may actually work, but i'm still very leery about making the hour-long drive to sit for an hour and listen to them blabble just to get this free trip... Very suspicious, if you ask me.

Me and my friend filled out entry forms to win a shopping spree during a CAVS game. Yesterday, my friend gets a call from travelwise and signs us both up to go to this seminar to collect our free vacations. After reading this, I don't think we'll waste our time!!

Called about a hummer I signed up to win. After reading all the replies, I'm not even going to bother calling back.

Got a message from Margie at Travelwise.  My parents signed me up for something at the Home & Garden Show at the Cleveland IX Center.   Not even going to call them after reading this.   Number to call was 1-800-501-0100 .  If its too good to be true, probably is.   Now, I feel like scamming them when they call me back.

Glad I checked them out first! I just got a call from sunshine vacations, telling me that they had some wonderful news about my entry into the $50,000 giveaway. The new number that was given to me to call back is 1-800-309-6500. I submitted my entry at a bridal show in Columbus in february, that will teach me! My daughter and her fiancee' were also contacted this month and they sat through the promotion... same story as all the rest, started with high figures and when the answer was no, the numbers came down.

Was everything legit because I just won the exact same thing. They told me the only cost was the 50 deposit and taxes. I told my family but they keep saing its a scam its a scam. What the actual trip really free (besides the deposit and tax)?
