Caller left no other details (except that his name was "gil" - which was probably made up on the spot).
Collection agencies tend to do that because they know that if they identify themselves - you're not going to call back.

A "Bussiness Matter" is a very misleading way of tricking people into returning the call (they think they are going to get money or call back for a job interview etc).

i got a call on my work cell (i haven't ever given that number to anyone - ever) so i'm guessing it's simple spam.

they called a few times ... they usually get your # from the internet. carefuller to give out private info, if u are a business owner you should report it the BBB

Some one called from this number asking for my date of birth.  The funny thing is its not my phone. Lol

USB Smerica called itself a credit collection agency. I have no outstanding debts.  It is a new to me phone number, so I assume that the prior number owner had unpaid debts. It said I was being recorded, so I told them this.  Now I plan to report it.

Got a call from this number, keeps asking if it is me and keeps avoiding my question where she was calling from. I guess collection agency, who else woukdn't identify itself.

‭+1 (866) 504-2592‬ They call and ask you for info about you and threaten that there is a lawsuit against you. They also called from this number ‭+1 (678) 394-4270‬. It is complete [***] do not fall for it.

Received calls from both numbers, 866-504-2592 & 678-394-4270, they had my name, last 4 of soc sec # & a county I use to live in. Glad I researched the numbers & oind out it's scammers.

It won't do a bit of good to report these types of calls...not even to the FCC. These people use equipment that bounces the calls from disconnected numbers or private individual's personal numbers. It's practically impossible to try to trace these calls because they bounce from one number to the next with each call.

People just have to learn to be smart and learn which numbers to NOT SAY ANYTHING on. All this identity theft and fraudulent calling is getting out of hand but there isn't much that can be done...sorry!
