I just received a call from this no. and she told me not to call Direct TV's online phone no. back when I decide on the bundle I wanted....(as I was very suspicious of her calling me out of nowhere....I did not give her any information....but that was a strange call....she first said Direct TV and then slipped and said Time Warner....VERY WEARY OF CALLS LIKE THIS!!!!!!

Just recieved a call from this number ignored the call because I was busy at work and they insisted to keep calling back every few seconds for a few minutes.  Called back to see who they were and they went to a 3 way call that they were talking to someone else saying they were direct tv.  I called direct tv yesterday to setup my service but this number they called me at was my work number not the phone number on my account which I fount suspicious so will no be answering the phone when they call back again.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO!!

I think this number is legitimately DirecTv because I called for new service last night and needed to finish w/ the "bundling" dept (I ordered Satelite and Internet).  Depending on what area you live in the Internet provider will vary.

Went onto DirecTv's website.  Entered my address & phone number to verify if satellite was offered in my area. It was so I called the 800 # listed on the website.  Discussed tv packages with rep on phone.  Decided against Directv service.  Later that evening received a call from a foreign speaking man who was pushy and rude who said he was going to finish our my Directv order with me.  I did want Directv.  He then said he had to do a credit check and wanted my SSN.  Whoa!!!  Never give a SSN to anyone who calls you.  NEVER!!  I told him that I refuse to give my SSN and he said 'Why not?  We're legit".  He said that he will give me free installation and free equipment if I supply my SSN.  This is not what the rep this morning when I called Directv said so this was another red flag.  The whole time my gut was saying that something was very wrong with this call and I am convinced that it was a scammer wanting my SSN  for fraudulent purposes.   DO NOT GIVE your SSN to anyone.  EVER!  Today I have a call from this same number 1-800-511-9809 & another from 1-800-420-0470 in which they answer with Satellite Service Center.  That is NOT how Directv's recordings are set up. SCAMMERS!!!!!!!    Beware!!!!

I certainly hope you didn't give your SSN to them.

I got one of these a few days ago.  I called DirecTV and asked them a few questions about service.  Later that night I got a call from a pushy Puerto Rican girl asking me for information.  I told her that in no way did I believe she was from DirecTV.  She hung up.

I called DirecTV yesterday from my cellphone and inquired about other options for residents living in townhomes (as we are not allowed to put satelites up) Today while I was at work, I received 3 calls from this #. 1-800-511-9809 I decided to call back and hung up on them when I heard them say something about DirecTV. They called back immediately, it was a foreign man who said I called this # and was wondering what I wanted. (Very unprofessional and anxious) The first RED flag for me was all the chatter in the background. You wouldve thought he was at a night club for scammers. I heard different voices and languages. I only realized all of that and put it all together after I gave him my address and he hung up or disconnected the line. I dont understand but I hope he cant get anything from just my # and address. ): I didnt give him the townhome #.

I just ordered DirectTV yesterday and saw this number and got to this site..I called them back when reading this page and they said let me help you set up your service and I said I already have direct tv and they hung up on me. Sketchy.

They did the SAME exact thing to me today, they hung up in me! I called backl and said that to them and they just transferred me to Direct TV! Scum bags

I ordered Directv this am.  I just got a call from this number. The number does not match the number I was given by directv. There was a great deal of background noise, like a restaurant or crowded room.  The young woman wanted to know if I got my directv service completed.  I said it was all under control and she hung up.  This is call sounds like other calls I have received from scammers or other criminal-types.

YOU BETTER BE WATCHING YOUR BANK ACCOUNT, CREDIT CARD, etc. because you just opened yourself to identity theft.  NEVER give out info to an unsoliciated call--even if they CLAIM to be someone with whom you are doing business.  Ask for a number that you can call back.  Then call the original number given you by the business where you placed your order.  Directv and any reputable business will give you a phone number to contact them when you begin a transaction with them.  You can then call that number and ask if they have contacted you from the number given by the scammer.  The scammers will usually wait several months before they act, just to make it harder for you to trace.
One HUGE hint that a call is a scammer is the background noise.  Established companies do not operate out of offices where the background noise is disruptive.

YOU ARE A LIAR AND PART Of THE SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!.  Just call Directv's REAL number.  I got a call from this number and Directv knows nothing of a follow-up call or this number.  If you confront the caller from this number, they hang up.

A flyer came in the value pack for direct tv, so i called the phone no.  1 888-999-0114, All of the packages are exactly what is posted on line (we just checked) but not with this phone number, when the guy on the phone  asked for my SS No.  so he could get me this deal and better deals,  I knew it was a scam.  No one asks for that, if you don't pay your bill, they simply disconnect you.  Anyone can make a false flyer and send it to you.   Never give out your social security number.... Now I'm getting calls from this "service" number trying to sell me direct tv no way.

2 calls today.  can not return call as an automated voice says "no routes found".  highly annoying.
