who is this caller

This mr heal called me on my job. Cussed at me and my boss. Said he had my address and phone and was guess he was making a threat. This guy is a jerk!!!
Still keeps calling after my boss told him not to

She keeps calling me trying to get my bank account ... says she can settle my 10 year debt for 3000, I called credit one and they have no record of my debt.  infact i have 2 credit cards from credit one..

One of the companies they collect for is Citi Financal Auto.

they called my house for my brother yesterday said it wasnt a collection agency it was an attorney's office.  I advised them it was my house and my phone and not to call again and hung up on her.  She called back and asked why i hung up on her (clearly a violation of FDCPA) i told her again not to call my house and hung up on her again.  Then a guy called from a blocked number from CRS collections and i advised him call being recorded and they had already been advised not to call and have now called 3 times in one day also a violation of FDCPA.  I should sue them.

Someone keeps calling me from (800) 514-5371 harassing me at work said it was the California State Labor Department.

Keep getting an automated call from this # for people that don't even live at this address or people I've never heard of. They must have had this # before me.

I received a call from an unknown number and a woman left a message stating that I needed to call 1-800-514-5371 because there was an "affidavit of complaint filed against me" she never stated her tittle or company name very unprofessional !!! I immediately called back wondering what was going on when she answered she literally said "who's this" i could not believe!!! I told her my name, and she said "o I think I did call you , did i leave you a case number?" I gave her the "case number" and she states yes "where taking you to court and are going to garnish your waiges and you will pay for all court cost you have a balance of 2,000.00 on a credit card" didn't even hear the name of the credit card or what bank issued it she is not very clear at all... I of course asked whAt is the point of your call then if I indeed have a valid balance are you just calling me to tell me your suing me... She then asks for my debit card and states she can settle this matter right now for 700.00... I asked for her to mail me sum thing in writing she refused!!! Be very careful if you receive a call from this number!!! Make sure you get everything in writing if you even consider giving any form of payment information!!!!!!

Received a call from Sybil Smith in the Legal Department of Commercial Recovery Systems.  I thought when I answered the phone she said that she was calling from the court about an affidavit of complaint that was being filed, but once I grabbed a pencil and paper and started asking questions the information above came out.  She came off as rather rude and said they were going to file suit and have me served over a $600 disputed debt.  She also said that legal costs and court fees would add $2500.  Sounds like there are enough complaints about them and their scare tactics . . .

Received a call from a so called "Attorney" Toni Warren that wanted to speak to either myself or my lawyer and that they had an affidavit #. I was worried so I called back but I guess I had just missed them. After going through all of my papers I realized that the so called affidavit # that they gave me was the same account number that I had received from Credit Recovery Services for a debt that I had settled a long time ago and in the court systems at that because I kept getting harassed by debt collectors and now 3years later this woman is calling and harassing me again. Is there a way to report these people????

Got the exact same message from Toni Warren with the exact same wording as Cee today.  Turns out they had the wrong person.  The good news is they dropped it as soon as I told them they had the wrong person (last 4 of SS# they gave was not mine).  Like Cee, I was very worried when I got the message saying they had an affidavit of complaint filed against me and the message specifically said THIS IS NOT A COLLECTION CALL.  This caused quite a bit of stress as I was going through in my mind who would have filed an "affidavit of complaint" against me?  There should be a law against this type of harassment.  Would love to know where I could go to file an "affidavit of complaint" against them!!

What can be done to stop this harrassment????

I thought the same thing. I am like who has pressed charges on me. I haven't even spoke to anybody new in months.

My father got a call for me from a Investigator Lana Carter from the 800 number telling my dad that she needed a statement from me and could he pass on the message.  She gave him a case number.  After reading all these not sure if I want to call back!!!

I received a call from Lana Carter stating she was with the clerk of court (of my county) and that I had a case against me from my former bank. She stated that I was being sued for more than $5,000. She claimed to be able to have the case settled for $1,400. Then as I started questioning her, she claimed she could settle it right now for around $600. I immediately got suspicious and decided to call the Clerk of Court office and found that no Lana Carter was employed by them. Gave them the number (800-514-5371). Then the clerk of court called me back and said that it was a car lot in Pittsburgh, PA. I called my former bank, and they checked through my records and found that I didn't owe them a thing, which came as no surprise, CONSIDERING I HADN'T BEEN WITH THEM IN SEVERAL YEARS! Then, I called the number back. When "Lana" answered the phone, she claimed again to be a car lot. I knew it was the same person I'd talked to earlier, as I recognized the voice. She claimed to be a car lot, just as she had with the Clerk of Court. I waited almost an hour, called the number back, and got Lana's Voicemail. I left her a message that I had called my former bank and I owed them nothing. Then she called me back and started over again with her misinformation and ridiculous pretensions. Everyone beware of Lana Carter. The worst thing about the whole predicament is that she clearly has a lot of my personal information. But hey, who knows? Maybe she's gonna give me a good deal on a car. Rather doubt it, though.

I received a call from them with a threat of giving up rights to something, from Lana Carter who speaks so poorly that it os difficult to understand. This call was in reference to my son, they had too much information on me too. They need to b stopped

My Parents recieved the call before me that a woman stated that I needed to call 1-800-514-5371 because there was an "affidavit of complaint filed against me" she never stated her tittle or company name. I called back wondering what was going on when she , lana Carter she states "I am calling to inform you, HSBC will be taking you to court for an unpaid balance on a repro car 11,000$. She said, she will be filling the papers tomorrow and I had untill 3 pm to call her back so she could stop the action against me.  
The action was going to be a  lein against my house, wages attached, and a 1099 filled with the IRS.  And the lein would lead to a forclosure on behalf of my lender.  She stated they would be willing to settle for .50 on the dollar.  After further conversation she told me I should make them an offer like maybe 3,000$   .. I asked for her to mail me some thing in writing she refused!!!  Several times in the conversation I asked her what office are you with?   Your with the county? what county office?  HEllo what county office has an 800 number..... Then I found all these stories.  Thank you

Just received a call from this number and it said she was Lana Carter in reference to a case # F3545469 filed for/by my estranged sister in law who had listed us as her immediate contact.  (We are not).  She asked that we return her call ASAP.  Never going to happen.  Reporting her to the NYSAG office today.

if a person states they are an officer of the court, even a clerk, they have commited a felony and any claims they file are bogus

do not call these people back.   It is a collection agency
