Got a call this morning (Sunday 9 AM) from this number, when I picked up no one was there, but I do have a appointment with Directv on Tuesday, so I guess it was them!

That is so stupid.Why do companies play the call, say nothing
and hang up game? Whats the Point???????????
What are they trying to do?

called twice today.  rang 3 times, no message.  caller id said toll free once and out of area once.  i do have appt with direct tv people in 2 days.  i told them i do NOT answer calls that are NOT identified.  so leave message.  although i've been waiting a wk tomorrow and appt is still another day.  i even called a second no AND the no of an employee who was here on service call last yr to get someone here faster!  hasn't worked.  due to storm a wk ago tomorrow that did electrical damage.  

in today's world, WHY wouldn't they identify who they are? at least leave message as to confirming appt.  IF that's what it is. i'm not (general principle) going to answer anything not identified!

Ive answered each time and there is never anyone there. The vmail is also dead. But I heard that it was Direct TV and since Im expecting them this weekend I can only hope that's all it is. I really wish they would get their service up to speed. Im at work and too busy to answer every time it rings!! They finally left a message for me too! After 8 calls today!

Yeah, it's DirectTV to confirm installation.  Don't understand why they had to call me - they sent me a confirmation email.

What does the confirmation email say?  Could someone copy and paste a copy for me??
