Called and said he was from "tech support" and that I had talked to him the day before about my computer. Called me by wrong name and insisted he had talked to me. Told him not to call me any more.

this is a scam. Please block or not answer

Screen pop-up warned about computer virus. When I saw that I freaked and did not notice the word "ad" or "possible" and I called the number. Person with heavy accent (possibly Indian) was very smooth and understanding.  He did something  and appeared to take over my computer  he showed me a long numerical list indicating that some of the sources were Siberia, some Europe etc.  He would arrange temporary security if I went to  arieana.com.  From there I ended up at Team Viewer.com and received a pitch for security for my computer for $250.00 including a senior discount(how did they know?) I stalled for an answer and was told to call back and ask for John Miller exten.132.
    I missed several red flags. One was the very noisy background with many people talking. The other was when I was still freaked and got disconnected. I did not have the original number so I called arieana and they assured me I would be taken care of so I was connected to John Miller who seemed to know exactly where I was in the process.  I never did get the name of the first person but it did not matter since John knew everything.

a pop-up came up on my computer--I called  1-855-433-3483 Hung up almost immediately because the male answering was almost unintelligible and lots of background noise.  Moments later they called back on 800-520-3506.  I told him to never call my number again.  Blocked both numbers from my phone.  Currently at the Apple Store getting the malware removed.
