They said it was "National Express Delivery", and I don't think there is such a company.  They said they had a delivery which required that I verify my birth date.  The "delivery" never came.  She said she was calling from Seattle.

same as above.  received a call from the following numbers, all claiming to be National Courier Express:
    800-522-1721
    440-702-2582
    866-563-4250
said that there was a package to be delivered.  when you call the 866 number, the representatives are always busy.  the message asks for your phone number, address, and best time for delivery.  Scam or what?

I got a call from 800-522-1721  saying very clearly that they are UPS and they have a package for me but can't read the address due to water damage.

They gave me a callback number of 866-543-1374 and a tracking number which is NOT a UPS tracking number. This is fraud. UPS doesn't look at addresses, they use a scanner. They called my voicemail number which is untraceable. This is a scam. I am going to report them to UPS and have saved their voicemail.

I used to work for a collection agency, we used this scam all the time but never used the name of a legit company. By this collection agency representing themselves as UPS they have broken the law. Don't call back and Don't give the recording any information.

    Hi Jennie,

I asked them where the package was coming from and they said Best Buy.  I told them I didn't order anything.  After I hung up with them, I looked their number up online and found this.

What can we do about this?

    stupid scam?
Got a call from "Rose" at "Best Delivered Service" saying they had a package and when and where they could deliver it.

They had me call:  866-680-1253 to leave my number so they could call back.

So annoying. Can't find out any info on either of these numbers using paid phone number searches.

Seriously, I think that these people are not located in the US.  Anyone I have spoken to has a foreign accent.  Couldn't find anything on the web about them either.  Definately a telmarketing phishing scam or collection agency.  They called me again saying that they had a check to deliver for a large amount of money.  If I did not provide them with my address, they would have to send the check back to Washington Mutual.

They didn't give me the "Best Buy" line, but maybe you can check these out:

We received a call too.  They didn't ask for my birthdate they just ask if we were going to be home to receive a delivery.  I was busy and on the road so I said, no, we weren't home (call came on our cell phone) I told them to deliver the next day.  Then went into panic mode because I started thinking this was a ploy to find out if we were home or away.  My neighbor watched our house but no one ever came that day or the next.

I don't have any reason for a collection company to call me so don't understand what this was about.

Woman states that her name was Diane and was calling from AT&T about a job offer.  She stated that someone had submitted my name as a referral to be hired.  She said that there has to be a package with the information delivered to my address.  Because I previously worked there and had applied recently. Because I am unemployed and so desperate to find a job I did verify my address although I was suspicious.  Diane was rude and did not want to answer any questions that I asked her.  What can I do?

Got a call on my cell from this number. They asked for my sister. We used to live together, but years ago, and not at this number. It was the same as Nita, she said she was from AT&T and someone recommended my sister for a job. She said that she needed to mail an application packet to her. I was totally confused, and asked a bunch of questions, but she hung up on me. I called my sister, who was like, "WTF? Weird." She doesn't owe any money, as far as we know.

I don't understand why they'd have my number, and not hers.

I recieved a message from Carmon Davis and was told she was from UPS, and left me a reference number to find out when the best time for delivery was.  I called back and the message says they are ups and to leave a message.  Call back number was 866 669 3875

caller called and stated that they had a water damaged package.  Since we deal with patients and some items come by UPS i immediatley asked what it was, reluctantly they stated it was from GE.  If I asked that I could pick it up right away they stated that they woul need to check, put me on hold and hung up,  I asked my boss, no she had nothing coming in.  This is a scam I reported to my local UPS Store I will be calling UPS headquartes and reporting this to the FCC.

I believe this is a collection company and I don't think they are doing collections legally.  I have received calls from this # at my home where they have not left any messages.  I received one at work today but they did not know it was me on the phone.  They were asking for my HR dept. told them I would pass along the info that we don't give out #'s.  They said that I had submitted a application for a rental apartment through United Leasing and that they were trying to verify employment.  She gave me a name and # for call back at 888-375-5576 which is disconnected.  The number she called from was the 800-522-1721 which says mail box is full.  I have not applied for any rentals or apartments.  I this legal??

I got this same phone call. They caught me in a crazy moment of trying to feed my kids and get them to practice on time. Stupid me! I verified my address and told them that evening time was best for deliveries. They asked if I could give them my work address so that I could receive it there, because I needed to sign for this package. I shop online a lot so at first the call didn't alarm me. After she asked about my place of employment, I started to ask her questions. She was very short with her answers. She said the package was from a company called Lifestyles in Las Vegas and it was insured for up to $65.00. I knew that I hadn't ordered anything from this company. The call came in on my cell phone which seemed a bit weird. This is all strange and very confusing!

    Annoyed!
I received a call from this number a few minutes ago and they asked if someone named "Muhamed" lived at my street address which she said. I told her no, but I did verify the street address which I should not have. She continued and said that she had met Muhamed at a club and dropped him off at my address last week. When I started asking more questions, she hung up. This person was from the U.S., young sounding.

This call was very confusing, and a little frightening, and of course, annoying.

I received a voice message from someone named April Brown claiming to be with A-1 Nationwide Courier Delivery.  They left the phone number  877-472-8224, but when I called her back the called ID showed the phone number 800-522-1721.  I got the machine, so left her a message.  She called back within 2 minutes.  She indicated that she had a package from AT & T for me, 3.9 lb, no money due.  Wanted to know when they could deliver it.  I told her that I don't have At & T, she started to change the place it's from twice and then gave me a return address of Marketview Drive in Champagne, IL.  She gave me a tracking number.  Wanted to verify my address, stupidily I gave it to her.  Then she wanted a password- said she could use my place of employment and indicated a name of a place that I do not work for.  I told her I didn't work there, but declined to give my place of employment.  After she changed the name of the company sending the package (twice!) I told her that I would need to make some calls and contact her back.  When I called her back, got the macine again and left message telling her not to send the package.  That I am refusing delivery.  She never called back-so I called again and tried to get an operator, but it forwarded to a general mailbox.  I left them the message that I am issuing a complaint against them here, and with the  local authorities.  Doubt they will call back again.

    Freaked!
I too recieved calls from someone (1 800 522-1721)who said that they were from DHL and that they had a package to deliver. They started with calling my wife and telling her that I had package to be delivered and the were verifing the address.  She verified the address (oops) and then they had her pick a password, where I worked!  Then they called my phone and said the same "package" routine and had me pick a password that they would give to my wife so she could sign for the package when I was not there.  My birth date.  We called the number back and the mailbox is full and the first number the called from is disconnected.  What now?

I got a call this morning from this number saying they had an $89 package to be delivered by UPS from Victoria Secret requiring my signature. I told them to that I didn't order anything and that they souded like tellemarketers. I told them to remove my name from thier calling lists and hung up on them. I went to take a shower and when I got out I had recieved a voicemail from the same person telling me that my voicemail made me sound like a sunny and happy person but in reality I am rude and mean. The gaul of these people to leave a message like this astonds me!! I called UPS and let them know that I had recieved this call and they confirmed that no packages are or were scheduled from my address.
