SPAM FAX --- Another "Health" Scam. Voice Mail answers: "New Health Benefits" .....
Spam Fax "New Healthcare Plan" no company name identified. No sender number identified. fax removal number listed 1-866-904-5974. Says all numbers are removed within 24 hours.
Same dumbass fax, different day. Claims to be "Group Health Care" and associated with Carrington Dental and ACE USA. Fax removal number of 1-866-904-5974. Some voice mail instructions in bad russian accent to 'remove' your fax number. We'll see. I found the instructions on our fax machine to not allow faxes through with no caller ID or no phone number in the header info line. Should stop these dickwads cold. Also- under the heading of 'we'll see'.....
Yeppers, We got it to. I was curious as we have been getting the same one about once a week with different promotion ends" dates. Decided to do a google search on the phone number and found this page. Will be asking our IT dept. if our fax machine has the ability to stop this type of fax. Our faxes are set to go to each one in the office and not a central location. Luckily we don't get many spam faxes. Filter does a pretty good job.
Received spam FAX at 10:00 AM on January 15 2008. Health Ins Promotion. No sender FAX header or sender information. Does anyone know whether this 800 number is a USA origin? If this FAX originates from the USA it violate the "Telephone Conumer Protection Act." The violation is covered under 47 U.S.C. 227(b)(1) This Federal statute call for a fine of $500.00 to $1,500.00 and can be prosecuted in a Justice of the Peace Court. This act can be viewed at http://www.keytlaw.com/faxes/junkfaxlaw.htm If anyone has knowledge of the origin of this 800 number please notify betsyt@omniglobal.net. We need to work together to stop spamed Faxes.
This seems to be the same old runaround that is the "National Alliance of Associates" with offices supposedly at 141 Ganttown Rd, Turnersville, NJ, also by their own statement 3838 Raymert Drive, Las Vegas, NV and 3810 Swan Lake in Phoenix, AZ. The Insurance Fraud Units of the Attorney General's Office in both AZ and NV are not the least bit interested in investigating these scam artists. (Yes, I called them). I am amazed that these so called "investigators" are not curious enough to drive to a call center in their OWN HOME TOWN. America, you are on your own.
It's time to stop fooling around with these criminals and quickly round them up and put them in jail for a long time - it's the only way they'll stop these scams. The phone companies that provide service to these known scammers, should be fined heavily, very heavily for helping to enable these scams - The fax scammers can't scam without the help of the phone companies. This all needs to end, and end now. Enough is enough!
Unsolicited fax advertisement that I have formally reported to FCC. I recommend that more of us do that. I keep a form on my desk and fax it off to the FCC everytime I get an unsolicited fax. It takes a few minutes but I feel it may be worth it especially if the FCC got these in mass from all of us who suffer with this waste of paper and time.
The FCC can issue warning citations and impose fines against companies violating or suspected of violating the junk fax rules, but does not award individual damages. If you have received a fax advertisement from someone who does not have an EBR with you or to whom you have not provided prior express permission to send fax advertisements, you can file a complaint with the FCC. You can file your complaint by completing the FCC’s on-line complaint Form 1088 at: www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints.html; e-mailing fccinfo@fcc.gov; calling 1-888-CALL-FCC (1-888-225-5322) voice or 1-888-TELL-FCC (1-888-835-5322) TTY; faxing 1-866-418-0232; or writing to:
Federal Communications Commission Consumer & Governmental Affairs Bureau Consumer Inquiries and Complaints Division 445 12th Street, SW Washington, DC 20554.
Answered by "Kane": "Group Health Care Inc.", volunteered the following (if you want to believe): Privately owned company with Las Vegas address of 3838 Raymert Dr. 89044 -- Owner Ray Jackson. Kane said he was in Phoenix, PPO Network in business 7 years. --- Remember, the fax is like all the other FRAUDS and CON ARTISTS......
I am an attorney in Mobile, Alabama. I posted this same message under a few other associated 800 numbers. I just filed a class action lawsuit against some junk faxers under the private right of action provision in the Telephone Consumer Protection Act 47 USC 227(b)(3). I am drafting another class action complaint now against National Alliance of Association and possibly CWA as well. It would help tremendously to speak to any of you who actually signed up for the policy and paid them money. And really, anyone who received an unsolicited fax advertisement from them. I have the tools and resources to take these guys down, but support from real people is absolutely critical. Also, anyone that has gotten any faxes advertising steel buildings, I would like to hear from you too. You can email me at law36@bellsouth.net, I will then give you my other contact information. Thanks
Ours is a private residence fax, but we receive the "employees" spam faxes day and night. Like others, I have called the removal number only to hear quaint accents of French, Indian and Russian. Never has my number been removed. Today I called the "healthcare plan" number 800-531-6415 and "Andy" became verbally abusive when I asked him to remove our fax number.
I received a spam fax at my home with instructions to call this number as well. I called twice from different numbers, once pretending to be interested so I could find out more about them. The second time to try and find out how they got my fax number. I got the rudest people imaginable. How they expect to sell anything is beyond me. They were VERY secretive about who and what they were, and refused to do anything other than take an order to join or tell me to google "aceusa" myself if I wanted to know more. I'll be contacting the FCC about them.
Perhaps we should return the favor in kind to the companies that hire the spammers. Something like...an agreed upon time for a thousand number call-in, and when they answer just say you were wondering who it was that faxed you, and then hang up. And call back in again...and again...
I got the rayner address too in Las vegas. The people on the other end are idiots that can do very little. arguing with them does nothing. You either have to black unregistered numbers, or you have to find out what 'program' they type the numbers in to is. Someone is selling these people our phone numbers. and my number is unregistered, unlisted too. Can we find out who's selling our phone numbers to these scam agencies?
I received the fax and called to find out about the policy. A man named Andy was extremely rude to me and would not offer any information. He just kept asking me for my payment information. Do people actually give these people money???? How can they not be stopped if they are stealing money from people???
