How do I put an end to all of these calls, they begin at 8:00am and are still calling at 7:30pm.

I recently opened a new account at SunTrust and they were just calling as a follow up.  Not a telemarketer or sales, simply providing customer service.

This number keeps calling me and asking for Marcia Miller.  I have told them for the last 6 weeks there is no one by that name at this number and they say they will remove the number from their call list and just keep calling!

Good news it is a legit Suntrust source. Bad news is customer service fails to help stop it.

I don't think these folks are legit Suntrust.  I called the number and they answered as suntrust, but when I asked them to take my number off their calling list, they asked for my full social security number and my suntrust account number!  I am not that dumb and I told her as much.  She said that is the only way they can take you off their list, and people give that information all the time over the phone, it's no problem!  Suntrust's Fraud Dept is closed for the weekend, but I WILL be calling them on Monday!  BEWARE

Just got a missed call from this number as well; it didn't seem legit to me as the guy who answered my phone might as well have been saying "Dave's not here man..." he then asked for my account number or social and I told him I would give neither out over the phone. He did say I could confirm this at my local Suntrust branch which I will be doing tomorrow before work. I've been banking with Suntrust for maybe 8 years and I can think of one incident when they called me (there may be others I don't recall) and it was due to my card getting locked because I switched pumps at a gas stations because one wasn't working.

This number has been calling me for three days...I have yet to answer. After reading these posts, I looked up Suntrust's contact information. It turns out that the "real" phone number is 800.SUNTRUST (800.786.8787).

I have gotten several calls from this number on my cell phone. I called back and told them I have no accounts at SunTrust. The lady took my number and said she'd put in to have my number taken off the list. We'll see.

I was getting a call a day from this number. The person said they were from Suntrust business accounts. When I asked not to be called every day to see how I'm doing, the person on the other end wanted said they would need my SSN to be put on the no-call list. I told him no way & hung up. Since I use Google Voice for all my calls, I just blocked that number.

Reading here, I have absolutely no association with Sun Trust on any level, no reason for them to be calling me at all

I have an account with Suntrust so I called them and asked if this number was an actual number from them. I was told that number is NOT a Suntrust number at all. And that they would investigate the number after I told them that they were asking for SSN numbers and account numbers.

How do you use Google voice?  I never heard of it but sure would like to have it as call blocking from my provider doesn't have call block for long distance or toll free calls and most of the calls I need to block are long distance.  Thanks

I have my number on the "do not call list", I do not wish to received any soliciting calls.

This is actually not a scam - It is the Suntrust fraud department.  I got a call from them, called the main Suntrust number, and they connected me over to the fraud department, who had been trying to call me.  Thankfully nothing was wrong with my account - just travelling, and so they saw transactions from several different cities.

I got a call from this number at around 8:00 PM this evening.   I called it back and it claimed to be Suntrust Bank.   The automated recording sounded just like Suntrust's, with which I have had an account with for several years.
Suspicious soul as I am, and having experience with e-mail phishing schemes, I called Suntrust directly.   They told me they would NEVER get in touch with a customer about their accounts by telephone or by e-mail, and to NEVER give information to anyone contacting me by these means.   They told me 800-540-0414 is NOT an official Suntrust number.

Placed internet order and within 5 minutes call rang through but missed it.  No voice mail.  Googled and found this thread.  I do bank with ST.  Call them from (#) back of my card.  ST verified the transaction and I explained what happened.  Since I did not answer nor was message left CID only said toll free and #.  ST rep stated this number is not in their listing of valid ST numbers.

SunTrust rep said this was not a number from SunTrust.

I too received a call from a female who appeared to be a young white American.  She asked for me by name and stated I was selected to be part of a refinance Bull****

I told her I was at work and to call back later, but never got a return call.  
Today out of concern, I called back and a female with a middle eastern accent answered right away.  I hung up right away.
Now you you know this number is bogus.  What bank picks up right away without out going through an automotive system first?
