I got a call from "Jeff" at 303-656-5895 who wanted to do a roofing quote.  
He had my name, cell number, and knew the town I lived in -- which is different than the town my phone is registered in.

I asked for info to call back and schedule with his supervisor and he gave: Marcus/Chad - Construction Services  -  800-541-2907.  I called and got a generic voicemail message.

The mailbox at 303-656-5895 is full. (also generic message)

so...the gentleman with a Mexican accent called and Identified himself as being with "Home Advisor" ...he said that a crew in the area had spotted roof damage from a recent storm on my house...he knew my name and my address...only problem is there has been no storms and I just put a new roof on...so they can't be trusted.

Call received on 8/4/14.  Caller ID:  was the same number as listed.  This call was intercepted by my Sentry Call Blocker
device and is now blocked on my phone system as a scam call.

Stop calling me, if I want your service I will call you.

Got a call from a man  with a Mexican accent. He said they were roofing houses in my area that had storm damage. They would come and give a free roof inspection.  I asked what the company's name is. He said Total Roofing. I asked where they were located. He would not tell me. He said man would show up with credentials and tell me exactly where they are located. Seemed sketchy.  Have me a number to call if I had questions.  I called and got an answering machine. No mention of Total Construction on the greeting.

Received a call at 2.52pm, using my name and address.  Said they had driven by my house and noticed damage to my house due to recent storms.  I replied: 'you are a filthy liar as you can't see my house from the street'...  he said: 'I mean we have crews working at one of your neighbors house, can we stop by tomorrow to give you a quote'... I hung up

Same thing as everyone else…call from a Mexican sounding guy name "Sean" (I've never met one hispanic with that name!) telling me that Mike was driving by my house and noticed damage on my roof from a recent storm.  I asked why he was driving by my house and he said that he's doing work on a neighbor's house.  I played dumb and asked him which neighbor and he said Betty, who lives three streets down.  I said there's a few Bettys, which one?  He said Thompson.  He said Mike can come tomorrow at 9 am or 6 pm to inspect the roof, gutters, AC, etc…  I told him that I don't know my schedule yet and to give me his number so that I can call him.  He gave me 800-541-2907.  He said that he gets off at 6 pm, which is in 15 minutes.  I asked him if he also lives nearby and he said yes, in Commerce.  I said, "No way, what street?"  He chuckled and said he's not able to tell me.  I asked what High School did he go to and he said Alternative.  I told him that I've never heard of it, but that I went to Commerce Southern HS, which doesn't exist.  He didn't say anything else.  I let the poor [***] off the hook by telling him that I'll call him back…btw, the number on my ID showed:  Wendy Hubbard at 248-529-6743.

I got a phone call from total construct roofing company. The caller ID was 972-523-1658. But he left the number was 1-800-541-2907. I called back to first number which is not valid number and second number only which has answering machine.

Yeah, watch out for these scammers... I got a phone call from a Mexican guy who would be "in the area" that could do a free roof inspection this afternoon. He said the company name was "Construction Services", approved by the Better Business Bureau. He said they'd show me credentials and references before they went anywhere near the roof, so I agreed. He also gave me a 1800 number in case I needed to call him back.
After the call I tried to find them on them web... nothing.  I then got a call from a different guy called "Joe Blass", confirming that they would be here at 2pm today. I told him that there was nothing about their company on the web and he said the company name was actually "Construction Repairs" and I could find them at ConstructionRepairs.com.
Well guess what? Yep, that site doesn't exist and I checked to find that the domain name is registered by a company in Texas, but there's not been an actual website on that address since 2011. Oh and the Better Business Bureau don't know this company either... and even with such a vague name, Google comes up with nothing either (in Colorado).
I've called the 1800 number back twice and left a message to cancel, but no-one has returned my call (shocker).

This company did not call me, but when they called others for a time period of 10:33 am to 12:38 pm Central Time on 10/9/14, they somehow used my name and number as the caller ID. All day I have been getting calls from people about roofing service. Yikes! Interesting that all of the people calling me are from my neighborhood, or at least from my town. I hope that my identity has not been compromised.
