- Marta Lugosi| 1 replyThis company, Silverleaf Resorts calls me every day for maintenance payments. About 12 years ago two coworkers of mine and myself purchased a timeshare from this company. One week later I realized this company offers a very bad business deal and I requested to be removed from the ownership papers. I was told by their legal representative that my name is removed. Over the years the second person moved away and the timeshare is owned by the third person only and it is paid in full. For about 10 years I have not heard anything and completely forgot about them. For a couple of months they call me regularly for maintenance payments, and I was told that my name is still on the ownership contract. I called them back a couple of times and they refuse to remove my name. Can I do anything to stop these people from harassing me? Unfortunately, they never gave me new documents after I dropped out from the ownership. Is there anything I can do to stop them???

- No One replies to Marta LugosiIf you did not sign paperwork to have your name removed from the deed..then no you were never removed..and yes you are still responsible...no they will not stop calling til the property is foreclosed on. The do not call list does not apply when it is in regards to a bill that you owe.
- NThey are slick! Called my cell phone but I did not answer as I did not recognize the number. They left a voice message saying they were calling as a Mr. Curtis Johnson had used my name (which they mispronounced) as a reference for a reservation. Sneaky, sneaky!
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Heizenberg replies to Marta Lugosi| 1 replyIf they are calling you from that number it is because you owe them money...and the only way for them to know they are calling a wrong number is if you answer the phone and tell them...best way to handle it.
- Sir Bedevere replies to Marta LugosiWhat do they say when they call? The Do Not Call List applies only to sales calls. If they are calling on behalf or a charity or political party the DNC list does not apply to them. If they are calling for a poll or survey the DNC list does not apply to them. It they are a collection agency the DNC list does not apply to them. If they call and don't leave a message the DNC list does not apply.
And if they're crooks trying to scam you out of money (like by pretending to be a debt collector) they're just going to ignore the Do Not Call List the way burglars ignore trespassing laws. - Anonym| 2 repliesThey call me everyday. Twice a day. For the past three weeks.Asking for two people ive never heard of. I tell them they have the wrong number and they call me a liar say they will be calling back and hang up. Its getting VERY irritating.
- Tamianth replies to AnonymGet their legal mail address and send them a cease and desist letter via US certified mail (this way they can't say they didn't get it). You can find a free template for that online. Also report them here:

And if they don't stop calling you, follow through with filing a law suit. Keep any messages, record them and keep notes on the calls every call.

You may also want to invest in a call blocking device or phone. The T-lock Incoming PRO Call Blocker sells for under 60 bucks on Amazon and can block up to 1500 numbers.

We OWN A Presiidetial tIme share with Silverleaf and pay our ground fees a year in advance. If you own two weeks the want to sell you an Ambassador. THEY NEVER stop. I have them blocked as well. I use what I own and don't listen to the rest. After you purchase they change the rules. Basically a breach of contract. It is a sales call.
- Cindi replies to AnonymIf you are not the true party and they did indeed call you a liar, you CAN FILE a lawsuit.
