I received a call from this number.  I returned the call without checking voice mail.  A guy answered and said he was from Microsoft. I told him to put me on his do not call list.  He said it would cost $500.00 to put me on a do not call list.  I told him he was a scam and I would report him to the fbi...instead I called the ftc and reported the number

Since I never answer calls from numbers I don't recognize, I let this go to voice mail. I received the generic "your Microsoft Windows license is about to expire" scam message. I guess people still fall for this, but this scam is definitely showing its age. At least it wasn't a scammer from India telling me that my computer is riddled with viruses, although that hoary scam is still around.
