received two calls back to back and no message.

i recieved a call from 800 555 1234

i called back and got some telecom number

who are these people? they are extremely rude!
received the call today 1-800-555-1234

About a month ago id receive these calls about 5 times a day. i emailed someone (Maxemail) and it stopped. It just started again and its the most annoying thing. Called at 3 in the morning once

got 2 calls today 2nd call I anwsered and the male on the phone knew my legal name......must be a bill collector.....
and he can stand in line!

1-800-555-1234, calls, calls, and more calls.  Now I don't pick up anymore.  Who are they??

Call came in on 8 Dec 08 at 7:28pm.  I answered and said "hello"....there was no answer on the other end.  I said "hello" 3 times and then hung up.

1-800-555-1234 called twice tonight. First time I answered, they hung up. The second time, I didn't answer, they hung up after one ring, they didn't even let the answering machine pick up. I get calls like this often. Who is this and is there anything we can do to get it stopped?

Many calls which I do not answer (thank godness for caller ID), but still annoying.  I will block this nmber tomorrow.

This call is from Renaissance Recovery Solutions. They are calling either because they are looking for your car or you were listed as a reference on a friend or relative's car.  Their actual # is 888-499-7376 website is http://www.renrecovery.com

Thank you, I was getting repeated calls as well.. over and over from this 1-800-555-1234 number. I have no vehicle in any repossession status.. Not even close. I have no outstanding bills and my credit rating is 790. Needless to say why the heck is some repo-company calling me at all hours of the day? I called Renaissance and was informed it was a computer error on their end.. some error!! The calls have stopped and good thing I was ready to call my district attorney and file a complaint. But your help was great and being able to call the people responsible and say ENOUGH! Stop it now! seemed to do the trick.

received a call waiting interruption and did not respond

One call from this number today, nobody at the other end when I answered.  When I called back, the number identified itself as "nationcell ios" and apparently is a service for placing collect or credit card calls.  Whoever actually placed the call through this service was not identifiable.

I got a call from this number, and it was my credit union.  Thankfully they left a detailed message.

Based on the previous comments, I'm guessing that this number belongs to some service that other business can use to help them automate making calls.  Long story short-- it could be anyone!

The message left on answering machine led us to believe it was the IRS and wanted to talk to us about a legal matter.  I decided to check it out on the web and was relieved to see it was not the IRS.

Yes this company is tryin to locate a vehicle, boat, trailer from a loaning company, so they can reposess it.

Nice try.
A collection agency CAN NOT repossess ANYTHING.
Only the original creditor can.
And, the only thing an original creditor can repossess is the item that they lent the money for.

We say RRS NOT IRS. You may hear it wrong. But no, the company name is RRS.

I received a call from 1-800-555-1234 today they left no message. Just curious due to the odd number sequence I phoned them back.  I finally got a live person, she told me that they did not call me, that no one from there can call out.  I asked I did I get that number she said "you dialed it" duh.  I said how did I get the number if you people did not call?  This could have gone on for days.  What idiots.
