- StanThis caller wants to speak to my wife only and will not accept an offer to take a message or help them in lieu of my wife. I advise them my wife works out of town and at nights, but all they will say to me is that they will call back at a more convenient time. I think this call is from Wells Fargo since our mortgage is with them and in my wife's name. There is no problem with out account and they tell me it's a courtesy call. We have verified our account is in good standing but they continue to call. I base my suspicions of Wells Fargo on the fact that they also call from a known number of 1-877-428-1552 with the same "courtesy Call" speil. Both calls originate from Brentwood, N.J.

- StanI confirmed that this is indeed a sales call from Wells Fargo that wants to sell the mortgage holder a home warranty. They call at least twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon/evening and want to speak to my wife, who is the mortgage holder. They do not want to identify themselves to you nor talk to you if you're not the mortgage holder regardless of your relationship (husband/wife) to the holder. Even after being firm, but polite (no profanity or derogatory remarks) to the caller, who became somewhat indignant, explaining that my wife worked out of town and 12 - 13 hour shifts, sleeps during the daytime and cannot receive business calls on the job making it virtually impossible to contact her, and being advised that such notes would be made and no more phone calls would be made, guess who called this a.m.? You guessed it, Wells Fargo! Regardless that we do have a relationship with them business wise and an account in good standing, this has now evolved into harassment. Enough is enough!

- anonymous| 1 replyCall from Wells Fargo wanting me to refinance. I did click on a link to see the rates and they are higher than what I now have so I didn't finish the request and shut down the PC. Now they call me twice a day. I have blocked two numbers and they just call from a different one.

- anonymous replies to anonymousThe same for me. I looked at rates to see if it was to my benefit to refinance. They call me from multiple numbers, multiple times a day.
- AllieThey left no message-I blocked their #

- JenSame for me. We have a Wells Fargo mortgage (not our choice, previous lender sells mortgages to Wells). They ask for me, I tell them she's not home, they won't leave message, just "courtesy call", etc. One would think, after all the trouble they got into by opening unrequested accounts for their mortgage holders, that they would not start up another money-making scheme! I would suggest documenting every sales call we receive as evidence so if another class action lawsuit is filed, you can use that to show the harassment. Who knows, it might even bring in a few bucks! (To document the calls, don't answer them and then take screenshots of the call record on your phone.)
- Caller: Probably Wells Fargo

- AnonSAME. Six calls in three days, once left a message saying it was Wells Fargo responding to my request for info about refinancing our mortgage. My house is in my husband's name only and we have zero interest in refinancing. I've blocked three numbers thus far and they just call from others.

- TMI too received a call from that number and didn't answer because I'm sick of all the unsolicited calls. I called the number (800-557-9965) after I received a call from that number and an automated message stated "You have reached a non-working number for Wells Fargo.

- R. Webb| 1 replyI keep getting calls from this or similar numbers, but I refuse to pick up if I don’t know who they are. I’ve blocked the various numbers and yet they still call. If it is Wells Fargo, the only reason they are harassing me is because I inherited my mom’s house in another state. Mind you, it’s paid off, so why the calls???
- BigA replies to R. WebbThe last post made in this thread was in 2018 so it has been dormant for 6 years.
The only people that can answer that are your callers and since you are scared to death of answering the phone I guess neither you or anyone here will know the answer to that question.Quote:so why the calls???
