- when asked if the call was regarding an outstanding balance, they replied...sort of and would not proceed until they receive bill information (like gas company)  hmmm....

called me from bell canada, a real person was calling, i answered and the guy asked me about a (no longer existing) bell account with my name on it, i wasnt sure what the guy was saying, but i belive he stated an incorrect phone number, possibly account number, but had my real name, left me a call back number, i dont think its real

I didn't call back after I read all the related comments.

Got 3 calls from them, When you pick up the voice message is already playing, first 2 time went to voice mail so I missed most of it, last time i picked up in time, it was Bell Canada's accounts receivable, telling me to call back and that it wasnt a marketing or sales call.

Called back and it was actually accounts receivable but wouldn't gimme info without account number, transferred me to customer service, they were confused cause they don't even have that number on file. Lady said she would let here manager know.

I guess someone's spoofing the number.

I have been getting numerous calls from them. The last couple calls had an echo so bad that I could not understand who was at the other end. I find that Bell Canada does not keep their lines very clear. They are full of static and echoes.

I have had 3 messages from them. I called Bell (the number they gave) and they do not recognize the 800-561-9825 number they called me from (I have the called ID logged) or the account number. The live person (did not sound or act like a recording) on message identifying themselves as "Bell Telephone" in English with a French accent - and said it was in regards to a toll free line (that I don't have).

How can a communications company be this inept?

It's a scam.  don't respond.  

It is either www.buycanadianfirst.com or .ca or from Bell Canada.  I called and the same # twice and got to different people asking for different things.

Rec'd call to business line. By the time it gets through the automated attendant to me - I only hear the phone # & then a french recording. I called the # & it says you have reached Bell Credit Services & Account Management & it wants you to input the # you are calling from. I zeroed out until I was connected to a human who hung up on me when I questioned who I was calling.

Just got a call from this number.  Looks like they're still phishing.

Got several calls at work from this number, when we called back they said we had not paid our phone bill in 5 months even though we only got this number a month ago. They said that when you take over an old number you have to pay their outstanding bills...

Sounds like a scam to me!

Got the call today  9:03  it is a scam all I heard was call the 900 number.  No way I'm calling 900 numbers
Call Bell the real number and was told it being FLAG and it a scam not to call that number.

Sounded "Phishy".  Did not sound like Bell.

I received a call from this number asking for accounts payable.  I asked what it was in feference to.  She said it was Bell Canada calling about an overdue payment.  I asked for the invoice number and she said she didn't have one.  Who calls about an overdue payment but doesn't know the inovice number?  

I gave the message to my boss who said he's already paid them, then I came here.  I called the number back and it was indeed Bell however, I'm not sure why she didn't have an invoice number to reference.

DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFO.  Received two calls at work.  Then called 310-BELL (2355) and Bell confirmed that this is a scam.  These people knew that we had changed our payment methods, and told us that it didn't go through and that they wanted credit card info.

Feb 13 2013 - The person who called had an accent so thick I could not understand, sounded like Hindi (Indian) or Tagalog (Philippines)  possibly Caribbean .  I think it may be related to Bell Canada Business accounts because they quoted my business line number.  They must hire or farm these collection calls out to foreign countries.  I don't think it is a scam but if it is Bell Canada this is terrible service and very unprofessional.

Just got a call from this number (1-800-561-9825) a moment ago. Still Phishing.
Man on the line with thick (possible) French accent, spoke English to me. Didn't identify himself as Bell right away. Didn't want to leave a message...
Bell is confirming this as a scam, if you are unsure call them yourself at 310-BELL.

Just received a call from this number. The man has very strong accent that I can not understand at all. Don't call back. It's a scam.
