- PLEASE STOP CALLINGThe day before and the day after Thanksgiving, this phone number has called ATLEAST 30 times together. It happens right around 8am until 7 or 8 pm. They call like once every 20 minutes. They let it ring for like 30 seconds. We don't answer it since it's a "800" number but this is pretty rediculous.
It might be my parent's bank- compass bank.
There is no reason for them spamming our phone because they aren't overdrawn or anything. - Samantha replies to SANDYThey wont qiut calling and i dont have an account at compass bank. Please stop calling me!!! I do not have an accout WITH YOU!!! I'm getting really annoyed!
- [***]Got same call as "hate this"...asking about a neighbor. i called number back and it immediately ask for ss # or loan number. This is a scam. Please people - do not give them this information.
I plan to report this to the proper authorities. Hopefully people aren't out there dumb enough to fall for this!- Caller: claims they are compass bank
- Call type: Debt collector
- Shannon| 1 replyThis is BBVA Compass Bank. This number is their collections department. I verified this by contacting the bank itself. It is not a scam, they use ss# or loan# to verify the account information. If you do not have a loan with them then answer and let them know to take your number off the list. They will stop calling. If you do have a loan with them, they are trying to set up a payment arrangements so answer and do a post dated check to stop the calls. After the check clears, the calls will start again until you schedule another payment. They are actually very easy to work with. :) If you are uneasy about calling that number back directly call 1-800-239-1996

To verify this phone number go to www.compassbank.com When the number asks for your loan # just keep hitting 0# until they transfer the call to a human, then ask for the collections department. They will give you the 800-570-4228 number just incase you get disconnected. I hope this is helpful. :)- Caller: BBVA COMPASS BANK

- Terry replies to ShannonShannon is correct. This is a BBVA Compass Collections number. It's actually the group that calls you when you are due for more than one payment. Yes they do call several times a day but if you will answer the phone and talk to them they will stop calling. All they want to know is when you can make your payments and want you to post date the payments with a one time check by phone. I had to do this one time because my online bill pay system didn't send out one of my payments and I was out of the country for vacation and by the time I got back I was almost 60 days past due for one payment and almost 30 days past due for the other payment. They were very kind to me and told me what they could accept as far as arrangements. I know other people that have car loans with them and they complain about not being treated right and being told what they want is not acceptable to the bank. If you will just listen to them they will tell you what they can accept for an arrangement depending on how far past due you are and if you try to work with them they will even try to make an exception to their rules and allow a little more time depending on your situation. All you have to do is answer their call and stop complaining about them calling you. If the 800-570-4228 # is calling you then you have no reason to complain about the calls because that means they have been trying to reach you since you were a few days past due, and more than likely you have already spoke to somebody and not been willing to talk about the payment or cooperate with them and set your payment up when you were only due for one payment. This is the only bank I have ever heard of that actually tries to reach you about a late payment before you get a late fee because they try to AVOID CHARGING their accounts late fees. I believe that is a sign of good Bank/Customer relationship, any other lender I have ever had would never try to avoid adding the late fee, if anything they would try to find a way to add it sooner than they say they will.
- hThis is getting out of control, these people will not stop calling me on my cell phone so I blocked them. I have never had anything with BBVA Compass and I definitely won't seeing how they constantly call me for absolutely no reason. They are now calling me at my place of work and I have no idea how they know that I work there but this is so unbelievably unacceptable. I have never had anything with BBVA Compass and I am so tired of this and it is ridiculous that they are calling me at my place of work.
