someone with the name Wilma Matthews from Bank of AMerica but when I call the number it is not Bank America

Someone called with the name Andrew Rogers, Bank of America. When I called them back, "Monica/  Mary" picked up the phone. They wanted my name and card number.

I lied to them I was trying to reach "Citibank"...And guess what..She told me.."Sometimes we collect for them!" :-) Total [***]..

I do not have an acount with Bank of America in the first place!

I got calls from Scott Tyler at 800-577-2490 AND 267-207-1308 extension 52532. I called back and they said they were from "Bank Services."  I asked them what kind of service they provided, they said they were a bank.  I asked if their company had a name, they said "Bank Services" and that they worked for other banks.  Now, that's new: a bank with no name working for other banks.  I told them to f*&k off.

Received call from 800-577-2490 x52253 today, but it was for my brother-in-law. Person's name was Andrew with Bank of America. I called back, answered as "card services," and said they work with Bank of America and MBNA.

Same trying to get bank account number and social security number along with phone numbers and address.  Identity Thieves! Beware

1-800-577-2490 ext 52278 called claimed his name is Mark Pierce from US Airways Visa and says another person had me on the card account and wanted to make a deal.

calling my home phone looking for my ex-husband of whom i've been divorced from for over 6 years and never had that phone number.  I spoke to a britney at extension 52256.  asked her how she got my number and said i was listed on a family search.  i told her she was mistaken.  i told her to stop the harassing calls, even gave her numbers of his mother and brother.

Received a call from card services from Dave Gray.  He wanted us to go to a neighbor's house and tell them it was important for them to call this number 1-800-577-2490 ext. 53134.  My husband called them to find out who they were and he said he was with Bank of America.  My husband told him that he had a lot of nerve to want us to go next door and deliver a message.  The neighbor has an unlisted phone number.  My husband told him that we would never consider doing business with Bank of America!  This is totally ridiculous!

When my mother passed away, she left a MBNA credit card debt which was in her name only. Their collectors demanded that my father pay it and REFUSED to provide documentation that his signature was also on the original contract.

If I had known then what I now know, they wouldn't have gotten a DIME out of him before he also died!

Got a call from this number - i don't even have an account with BOFA.  the guy i talked to was Micahel Haynes, but that was probably bogus.  I talked to another lady named Lisa - she inadverantly said that they were in Ohio so I'm guessing they're here:

I am sorry to tell you all but this is Bank of America. BOA now services many different credit cards. BOA bought out MBNA in October 2006.  The credit card division is FIA CARD SERVICES, and the phones are answered " Card Services " because they service so many different credit cards.  PAY YOUR BILLS AND YOU WON'T GET THE CALLS !!!!

Received a call from Dave Gray representing himself from Bank of America.  He used my mother-in-law's name (not mine) and she doesn't live w/us.  He requested we call back immediately as something is urgent.

When you call the number, it is represented as a card service - felt wrong.  I reported it to BOA - they have an abuse e-mail you can report issues to.

We don't have any outstanding credit card bills - so that is NOT the issue.

The caller left a message on my Dad's phone, who lives several states away and was never listed on my credit accounts... it sounded like she said her name was "Tammy Faye".  I didn't talk to her or call back, but on the messsage she said she was calling from BOA.  She said to call extension 55320.

Sounds like they really want their money.  Maybe Congress can give more Federal Bail Out money, because with this sleazy "let's call the parents" technique, I'd rather go to jail than give one thin dime to these crooks.  Scumbags!!!

got a cal from this #. they helped me when i was having financial diffuclty. good people and helping there cutomers when needed. just most of us are  to embarrassed to ask for help. i'm glad i called back.

i recieved a call from 18005772490. Some broad  was asking to speak with my parents. Told them that my parents are busy. They insisted to hold on until they can get a hold of my parents. i told her to provide me with her number and she gave me that number . She claimed to be from Bank of America Card  Services and that this is an urgent matter that needs to be resolved soon.  A search on google brought me to this site... Me thinks this is just a fraudelent call

this comment is 100% accurate..couldnt have said it better. but im sure these people all think the money they borrowed on credit cards is free and they dont have to pay it back...

They've called twice in two days, 'urgently' looking for my father and mother in law.  For some reason, they said our phone number was the information provided on my in laws account.  At first, I was angry that they'd do this, but then my husband told me our relatively new home number was one his parents did not have. Only our cell phone numbers.  So how'd this 'card services' get our number?

I think they've got cross reference guides and will call anyone in town with the same last name, hoping for a bite.  I did give them some numbers for the people they are asking for, because I want them to stop calling me.

They were more than willing to share private information about my in laws account with me, a person who identified myself as NOT being either of them, nor having their account number.  Which I found very very odd.

My husband thinks they are phishing...but I think they're just a collection agency.  These agencies can be very underhanded and WILL call neighbors, children, any relative they can find, to pressure the person in debt to contact them..I think they do it primarily to embarrass them.  Not sure if it's legal.

They called me and were looking for my sister....they are a collection agency.

My recommendation is to  show them Gods gift...your middle finger...

DONT PAY YOUR CREDIT CARD BILLS...EVERYONE SHOULD STOP PAYING THEM.

What was your name again?   (They will say it).

Who do you work for?   (They will say it).

Now say the following without stopping even if they try to interrupt you. Just keep saying it don’t stop and then hang up the phone.
 
Please don’t ever call me on the phone again, don’t call me at home or at work.  If you need to contact me do it in writing using US Certified mail.  Today is (say the date) and this call was recorded.  Thank you very much and have very pleasant day. 

Now HANG UP THE PHONE.
 
Big Daddy Dennis gives you permission and he says 'it's ok for you to be mean and rude to these people.'  They are not your friends!    They are not family, and they really, really, really don't like you!      They are out to get you, to do you harm, to make you suffer, to go after you. So protect your family, stand up to them and     give it back to them!  You have to tough and stand up.  You can do it!

This will work in most cases, I'm speaking from first hand experience here.  If the debt is sold to another collection agency they will call.  So do it again.  Remember, they are not your friend.
