They call all the time and never leave a message.  I answered this morning and it was RT & Associates claiming to be attorneys.  The woman on the phone sounded like she was going to cry when I got very firm with her asking what this is about.  She then stated that they have a civil suit against me in my local county courthouse and that she needed to transfer me to a Sr Rep.  After a long pause, I said, "I'm WAITING" and she again sounded like she lost her new puppy.  Then they kept me on hold for 3 minutes so I hung up.  Then they called from an unavailable number and left a voicemail stating I need to call them back or have my legal counsel call them.  They also call frequently from an unavailable number which goes directly to my voicemail.  I will come back and post the other number they give to call them back if they leave it on my voicemail again as I have deleted all the old messages. I just pulled a tri-merge credit report and there are no outstanding claims on my credit.  I have read posts recently where RT & Associates buy old debt and then try to claim to be attorneys filing summons, civil cases, etc.  I believe this is a Scam.

Agreed. This is a scam. That is not how the legal system works.

Caller is calling my mom stating they are going to do a civil suit on me for debt.  Ridiculous

Harassing calls almost everyday

How can you call and say you are taking me to court when I was never in troublea nd I just went to credit counseling and nothing showedu p and I never got anything in the mail starring I was being sued get a job losers

I received a call on my work cell phone from people stating that they were attorneys and they were going to file a civil suit in court, regarding credit card, which I have paid off and they gave me an amount of $2,200.00 and I had a change to take of this debt, I told the man that he needs to call my attorney, he took his name and phone number and said he would call him.
Not did I get this call, but my daughter got this call and my x-husband got this call, I need this to stop because other people in my family are getting these calls.

No name of the business calling me.  No name of the person they are trying to contact.  No case number for reference.  Just the threat of some sort of legal matter if I don't respond to 800 583-0010.  So I called and they trapped my phone number but couldn't make the connection because I called fro a different phone.  Their solution was to hang up on me.

Total scam, these happen to me all the time. They are looking for suckers to give their credit card information. Just block the number.
