A message was left stating we won the change your life sweepstakes which is either a Lincoln Navigator or $45,000.  Either my spouse or I was suppose to call back within 48 hours to claim our prize.  I called just to see where we would've registered.  I was told at a sporting event, mall or something like that.  She asked for my name and said then they could look it up.  I hung up.  Just wanted to give everyone a heads up...I believe this is a SCAM.

Yeah, I got the same call. You would think only one person could win that prize. They said the exact same thing and my husband and I never entered anything. Definately a scam. Thanks for letting everyone know.

Just got this recorded message too with the "change your life sweepstakes" mentioning the Lincoln Navigator, cash, etc. and the 48 hour call back.  Anything legit ought to know your name and contact via certified mail.

got a call today, a Susan Sinclair, left a  messg that I won a lincoln Navigator, call 800-585-1026. Time restraint so call asap. To my knowledge I did not enter a sweepstakes called "Change OF Life" so I am not calling back. I think official sweepstakes will notify you by US postal service.  The recorded messg says drawing was last night but I seen entries of other calls from months back.....

I received a call and the caller, Shannon, left this number stating that I had entered a contest, at a mall, sporting event, etc and I had won possibly a Navigator, Travel, Money, AFlat Screen TV.  Shannon Stated that I would recieve a Cerified Letter in the mail between 11/26-30/2009, telling me to go to an awards cermony in Ormond Beach, FL. I had a gut feeling that this was a scam since I did not enter a contest back in 2008.  Well no such letter has arrived and you cannot get anyone on the phone, you get a messaging service to leave you name & phone number and someone will return you call before the end of the day.  No such call was received.  I am so glad they did not ask for any money or any other information, which I would not have given to anyone anyway.

But I would like to let others know that this is a "SCAM" what they expect to get out of this is a mystery to me.

I received the call last night. I accually thought it might be lagit because I did enter some drawings last year. The only thing I gave was my name because I figured that couldn't hurt but after reading all these msgs I'm not so sure. Can someone steal an identitiy with ONLY someones name and NO other info?

LMAO! - This is probably one of those annual local/county police department dragnets. It always happens around Christmas time. They use a number that, depending on the area code you're calling from, will reroute your number to the corresponding authorities because you might have an outstanding warrant on your ass, or you owe people money and they need to collect from you or update their files by locating you. Legitimate people know and view this as a potential scam, the other incorrigibles think their luck has turned and they can escape their surroundings with a new vehicle or cash...They're just moronic losers!!! If you look at the accompanying advertisements on this internet page, you'll notice there are "Credit-Risk" and "Fraud Prevention" ads posted. This is because the credit and debt collector companies are sponsoring it..because they set up the 800 number...LMAO!

    OH HOLY ONE...

WHAT KIND OF EGO TRIP DO YOU HAVE TO BE ON TOO CALL PEOPLE MORONIC LOOSERS JUST BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE IN MORE THAN "SCAMS" BUT DONT HAVE THE EXPERIENCE ENOUGHT TO KNOW THE DIFFERNACE??? PEOPLE WIN STUFF ALL THE TIME... THAT'S WHY WE HAVE CONTESTS & PEOPLE GET SCAMMED ALL THE TIME... THAT’S WHY WE HAVE CHAT ROOMS TO COMPARE INFO.

    A**HOLE...

Got the same message tonight, to call Cathy Sumner back ASAP to claim my prize in the Change your life sweepstakes. She even congratulated me... TWICE! Nice touch. Seemed odd that the caller ID stated only that it was a Florida caller with a local number, yet I was being directed to call  800-585-1026. I have no intention of calling back. It's got to be a scam, but what are they after?

I received the same call--"Hello this is Susan Sinclair calling from Change in Life Sweepstakes (I never entered it). You have won a prize from
the pool of prizes that includes a Lincoln Navigator.  There is a time limit on responding so it is in your best interest to call me back at 1-800-585-1026. Again, this is Susan Sinclair.  That is the name of the person you request for [sic.]."

The number on my caller I.D. was River Grove, 708-437-8561 which seems to be in Illinois in a suburb of Chicago.

Can I report this as a nuisance call?  I am registered as a no-call number with both my home state and nationally.

I received a message from "Susan Sinclair" stating that I had won the Change of Life Sweepstakes for a Lincoln Navigator as well as other prizes.  I have never entered in anything like this before and she said that I needed to call this number back as it was time sensitive.  The call was received at 4:44 p.m. on 1/12/10.

I also have my number on the do not call registry and have the same question if it can be reported.

Got the call from Susan Sinclair on Jan. 15, 2010 about winning the Change of Life contest.  Someone has to stop these people.  I reported this to https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do  More people need to report them.

I got a call today from Susan Sinclair, caller ID said 972-734-5140.  She said that I entered the Change Your Life Sweepstakes and that I won a Lincoln Navigator.  I don't remember any such sweepstakes and know that this is a scam, coming to this site confirms my suspicions.  These people are probably looking for suckers to sell timeshares or other junk to.  I am not falling for their bogus prizes and tricks and either should you after reading this helpful peoples tips.  If you don't remember playing a contest, then how do you explain that you magicly won a prize?!  I got a similar call a few months back and this website saved me the hassle of calling back and getting roped into more scams.

I received the magical call today to win the brand spanking new Lincoln Navigator due to entering a contest that just ended called Change Your Life Sweepstakes. The woman's name was Kathy.  Didn't quite catch your last name as she kind of mumbled through the message.  The caller ID reads: DUI Counseling with the phone number 773-409-4793.

I wonder what would happen if you called that number.

    Hot mess.

I just got the same call only this time she said her name was Kathy Sumner.  Like someone else said; If it is indeed legit they would notify you by certified mail, courior, or some other secure method.  Not a prerecorded phone call.   I did a web search on it and the only sweepstaks I could find was one that was somehow loosely related to Esquire Magazine.  Since I've never in my life opened a copy of the publication I fell pretty confident that this is a ripoff scam fishing for information to drain accounts and steal ID's.  I have to wonder if Esquire knows they are being tied to these scummy creepos.  I know I'd be ticked off if it were me.
