this lady call's your number and say's she is recording you and then ask's you to confirm the last 4 numbers

This number is progressive financial services...they are trying to help you get your student loan debt out of default to avoid tax offsets and possible wage garnishments. they have lots of programs for everyone.

Called my grandparents in California (where I haven't lived I'm 15 years) saying she was an old friend who wanted to help with something. Called my work. I am a cab driver and they requested the phone number for my cab to discuss a business matter. Fortunately my dispatcher figured it out and took a message.

I recently moved to Calfornia (less than 3 months ago), and had not provided any of my new phone numbers to anyone other than family and friends. This woman called my business line, and my partner answered the phone. She asked to speak to me, but my partner informed her that I wasn't, but would be willing to take a message. My partner said the woman was quite insistent and rude, and with attitude, asked for my cell phone number, which my partner would not give to her. All she said was she wanted to discuss a business matter, but would not elaborate further. My partner had to tell her several times, and firmly, not to call our business line again, as it was not for contacting employees directly, and only for taking in-bound service calls from clients. From what I'm told, the lady was rude and despite was she was clearly being told, didn't really seem to listen. The woman gave this phone number, with extension 4131.

Have received numurous amouth of calls from this number with same thing every time. They leave messages saying if this not so and so please hang up there will be a three second pause....blah blah have told them countless times to take my number off their list.

Calls every few days using spoofing tactics, i.e., fake telephone numbers made to look local. Sometimes calls from 800-585-4854.

I don't owe anyone any money. I paid off all my debts years ago. Unfortunately my file keeps getting resold. So when I get rid of one collector a few months later another one pops up. Absolutely maddening.

Yes, a man called from this number. I have asked, what did you need this person for? I can't disclosed any information. Well, I've to leave a message, and, wouldn't give me a company name.

So, I've hung up the person. End up calling a couple minutes later.

I allowed my student loan to default and was informed by my employer that my wages are being garnished by Progressive Financial Services (PO Box 22083/Tempe, AZ 85285, Phone 800-585-4854). However, when I call the number given to me by my employer all I ever get is a recording telling me to leave a message. I located the official Progressive Financial Services website and called their main number 1-866-484-0204. Oddly they could not locate me in their system and did not recognize the phone number of 800-585-4854. I left a message on the recording and have yet to receive a call back.
