They calls us and ask for a different person every time. They say we owe  money on our credit cards. First, we don't know anyone by that name, second we don't even use credit cards. They either have a wrong number or the calls are a scam.

They have the wrong phone number. And I have left FIVE messages saying that. They must be a scam because its always a recorded voice, I never get a human... it really makes me mad!

Unbelievable! They keep on calling asking for unknown persons.
I am registered with the do not call registry but does not seem to work with them.

It doesn't matter that you're regestered on a DO NOT CALL list, that only applys to telemarketing. IT'S NOT A SALES CALL. You obviously have had NO problem buying things you can't pay for. It's a collections call, keep up on your bills, and the CCD company wouldn't have to sell your debt to a collections agency to get their money back. If you can sign a dotted line, you can pay your s**t back.

either you work for erc, or you have no idea how money works.  look it up!  there is a an arsenal of information on the web about how debt is created from thin air.  these companies aren't entitled to the money - not to mention the fact that most of these accounts were charged off by the original creditor (they've already written the balance off of their taxes), then sold for pennies on the dollar to a collector (paid a second time for the 'debt'), then re-sold again by that collector for a profit without doing a thing.

the system is a scam in place to enslave people - know what you're defending before making comments online for all to see!

Twice now I've received an autoated recording from this company.  They are looking for somone I don't know and have never known.  I call back and never can speak to a human.  I am going to do everything in my power that I can to annoy this company until they stop harassing me over someone elses debt.

They say they are collectors. Don't say who they are calling, just a pause where the name should've been. Not a real person calling - just an automated recording.
How can I stop those calls ?

Same.  A call comes in about twice per month, only a recorded message, never anyone to identify they have a wrong number.  No message, disconnect.

If anyone finds a way to get numbers off their call list, it would be useful to post.

They first called on my cell phone to advise I had a call from ERC.  As I'm holding on my cell phone they call on my home phone same voice recording but no human.  I call the number back it places you on hold.  Then I got a human on the line.  Her name was Erica.  When I asked y do they call so often 20 times in 5 minutes.  I'm told they need to speak to Mary & asked if, I was Mary.  I advised Erica to remove my number out of her system.  According to Erica, it takes 24 to 48 for me to be removed from their system and she advises me to be patient with them.  By the way they collect for Wells Fargo Bank and several others.

Big surprise that Wells Fargo hired them. They are the most crooked bank in the US. My story is the same. I just tried sending them an email. We'll see what happens. Their website address is http://www.erccollections.com

These calls are from Enhanced Recovery Corp. located in Jacksonville, Florida. I was being harrassed by them some time ago, and wrote a complaint to the Florida Better Business Bureau, and I did get a response from the company, and the phone calls stopped. However, they started again and I just filed a new complaint. Please, EVERYONE NEEDS TO TAKE A MINUTE TO FILE THE ON-LINE COMPLAINT FORM offered by the Bureau at http://www.jacksonville.bbb.org/  They are still rated as an acceptable business because technically they "complied" with the complaints against them, but they need to be inundated with complaints. I URGE you to take the vew minutes to fill out the form!!!

I received calls from this organization several times a day, sometimes as early at 7:30am and as late at 9pm.   They claim to be collecting money from an individual that does not live here and has never lived here.   It is a recorded message and when I call back, I am placed on hold for very long periods of time with no one ever answering (right now it has been 30 minutes and I am still on hold).

I returned a call to 866-454-6488 and got a person the first try.  I also went to the Florida Attorney General's website and filed an official complaint of harassment.  Don't mess with the BBB..they have no "teeth", but the Attorney General does.  AG's can fine or even close down a business.  Here is how you get to the AG's office website: http://myfloridalegal.com/ Click on "Consumer Protection", then
"How to File a complaint or check on a business", then "Consumer Complaint Form", then "Online Complaint form".  You need to go to ERC's website and get their address etc first: https://www.erccollections.com/co_info.htm  and file your complaints.  If the AG gets enough flack..he will pay attention!
