Hallmark Travel in Concord, California issued flight vouchers for two round trip airline tickets but one has to be a couple and listen to a presentation.

It is falsely stated that the Accounting Department participated in this "award."  To claim the gift, you cannot "simply call."  It is not mentioned that you have to attend a sales meeting.  Hallmark Travel and Pulaski Tickets and Tours think that it is acceptable to try to make consumers think that they have received something for nothing in order to get consumers to telephone.  Their misleading solicitation is a clear indication that they disrespect consumers.  Fight back!

A postcard type letter with a phony boarding pass voucher inside (you have to tear sides to open it) came from Pulaski Tickets and Tours, 2190 Meridian Park Blvd,Suit A, Concord CA 94520, 1-800-591-5789. This was addressed to my wife who flies USA. Pulaski had to buy this info from USA.  I will contact both companies  and Alameda County District attorney to stop this nonsense. Mailing is  misleading without any indication of any pending presentation or  selling/buying to get a free trip.  It's a rip off, and to those who claim it as a legit offer after you pay $7K you have to be kidding me. Save the $7K and go with a company you can trust.

I live in Alameda county, CA, and I received the same letter.

When I looked at the envelop, my heart skipped a beat. There were words like "WARNING", "BUSINESS MAIl" "PENALTY" "TAMPERING", "$2000 fine, and upto 5 years imprisonment"

I think they r doing whatever is possible to force ppl to read their stupid letter. This is just unbeleiveable unscrupulous practise

We also got the "official" looking mail envelope that looks like a tax form on the outside - it says "FORM 2008" and "Warning The penalty for obstructing or interfering with the delivery of this letter is a fine of $2,000 and up to 5 years imprisonment."  The inside has the "Dollar Rent a Car" and "US Airways" names and logos and "Our accounting department shows that you have been awarded two round trip tickets" etc.  This is not only bogus, but it leads you to believe that the two companies above are part of this deal. They're not - and we've NEVER flown US Airways or used Dollar Rent a Car - so those two companies are NOT selling customer lists. I didn't bother calling the toll-free number - it's obvious this is a set up. In small print on the back of the "travel voucher" it has the "Pulaski Tickets and Tours" name and address in Concord and "Some restrictions may apply" but does NOT mention anything about having to attend a presentation.

Received a government-looking envelope as well like the person above me described. Did a search on the company's name, Pulaski Tickets and Tours, and the word "scam" seems to pop up next to it also. There's only one place this letter belong besides in the sender's rearend--the trash.

A follow-up on AW's posting as to what the service actually is: for a fee they enroll you as a travel agent to allow you access to the agent-only deals.  The sales pitch is friendly but vapid, and they try to get you to "enroll today for a great deal" with absolutely no substantive documentation of the fine print. It's a 1 on 1 (or 2, if you are a couple) pitch, and if you play hard ball and they'll drop their "enrollment price" from $7,000 to $3,000.  I asked for references and they were cagey.  We walked out with our free car/flight coupon.  Overall, mostly harmless... I think.

I didn't get a call, but I did get the "official"-looking mailer, with Dollar and JetBlue as the providers.  Having learned that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't, and also since I've never done business with either Dollar or JetBlue, so it wouldn't make sense that they'd have my name, I figured it had to be a scam.  I Googled the phone number and landed here.  I didn't notice Pulaski's name on the back of the voucher until I read about it here.

What is wrong with these people?

I'm also glad I found this web site. I was tempted to go to the "presentation', but called the 800# and asked if it was true that it was a scam to "sell" travel agent memberships. They said they knew nothing about the content of the presentation except that "there was no obligation".

We didn't get a call, but we received the "official" looking piece of mail with the word "Warning" on the outside - and inside it says that we have "been awarded" two tickets on Jet Blue Airlines to any International Airport in the United States - all we have to do is "simply call" 1-800-591-5789.  So, the first thing I did was to google that phone number and I found this site.  Thank you for all the info about Pulaski Travel & Tours.  It sounds like this might be a job for the Consumer Fraud Unit!!

We attended the seminar after calling the number on the card we received. We declined the offer to travel cheaper by purchasing a package to become travel agents and walked out with some cheap, thin luggage as a gift as well as vouchers for a flight in the 48 with just paying the taxes amounting to $50 each r/t. Frankly, I did the first part which was to send our i.d. to CERTS but because of a previous cruise scheduled we couldn't fit another trip into our schedule after all. All I had to do was confirm a travel date for us by sending in the final form. I guess we could have flown somewhere for a long weekend but couldn't even make up our minds.

I knew this had to be a scam.  I recieved the mailing, which appeared to come from Jet Blue and Avis, and decided to google the phone number.  I have no idea where Pulaski got my name.  Thank you all for describing your experiences.
