Called with recorded message promising $150.00 off my cell Phone bill. Of course I have to go to their Website to get it.

This call says it's from Verizon and that it wants me to go to www.vzw153.com to get $153 credit on my next statement. The thing is that this is my work related cell phone they have called which tipped me off right away that something doesn't seem right.  I am not biting, however I couldn't find anything googling the phone number or the website (I did not go to the website).

This number 800-600-1228 has been calling me at at odd hours like 7 am and 9 pm over the past few weeks.  I picked up once and yes, its a robot call and they claim to be Verizon and want to offer me money back if I go to some website.  My number is on the do not call registry.  How can I turn these scammers in?

Recorded msg says I can get money off my phone bill if I go to their website. They say it is from Verizon.  Hoax???

Just got hit with the same BS (Verizon scam) for the umpteenth time.  I wish there was a way to get these people arrested.  I do feel terrible for the poor folks who fall for the scam and get money stolen from them

Just added this to my 'blacklist'-ed numbers in the Call Control app for Android. Rejected the call and the voicemail advertised the $153 off everyone else mentions here. Who pulls such a random figure out of their hat anyway? Were they TRYING to sound fishy?

That's an obviously fake phishing site. Have you reported it to Verizon?

I don't have a Verizon phone, but Verizon provides the Straight Talk service in this area. I got 2 calls exactly 20 minutes apart. I was at work and didn't hear the phone but I would not have answered it anyway.

I got a robo call saying that I was to go to www.vzw.com which is Verizon to collect $173.??.

I received 2 calls from this number within of each other. I didn't bother to answer because very few people have my cellphone number so I figured the calls on it are some sort of scam.

These clowns don't give up easily. My cellphone just rang again with a call from the same number. Three times in the last hour is becoming annoying to say the least.

I got 2 calls from that # & don't even HAVE Verizon...

I have cricket and just got the same call. I missed it and tried to call it back. It said out of area.

I just got 2 calls in 20 minutes, which I didn't pick up. But they didn't leave me any messages on voice mail. Must be the same scam though, right? I almost never answer an 800 number I don't recognize unless I'm expecting a call from someplace.

Like several others here, I also received two calls EXACTLY 20 minutes apart -- 10:01 and 10:21 p.m. (yes, after 10 o'clock at night!).  I plan to investigate further in the morning...

I got the exact same message. When I called the number back, got a fast busy signal.  They called on both our cell phones.
