- toadlykim24 Oct 2007I have been divorced from my 1st husband for 22 years, they called my current husband's cell phone # (only had 1 1/2 years) never give this number out to businesses & these people asked for me by my previous married name & would not answer any quesitons from my husband. Same thing got this number not working & the phone company won't tell you who this phone # belongs to.
- Bob30 Oct 2007I received a call from 800-605-5429 on 10/29/2007. The caller identified himself as a representative of Leading Edge. He claimed to be collecting a credit card debt for Citibank which is unknown to me. A Google search provided:

The company was sued by the Illinois Attorney General on 01/03/2007 for <unfair tactics, intimidation and misrepresentations to convince consumers to make payments when, in some instances, the consumers never owed the money.>

- JD28 Nov 2007We got a call from this number last night and the first person said she was from Sears and we owe money. I said I was happy to make a payment if she would give me my acct number. She said by law she can give me her file number. Still didnt click that something was fishy. When we got to the 3rd representative, he started yelling at me because I wouldnt release my financial info. He said "he gets paid even if I dont make a payment". I offered a payment arrangement but he said unless I give up all my financial information he cant set it up. I said I was willing to make payments but thats it, he hung up on me. He did me a favor

- Scooter Tramp13 Dec 2007This "person" calls several times a day. Since I know no one with a toll free number I let the machine answer the call. This last time he identified himself as Rubin Schwartz (no company). He never says who he's calling for and since there are several people with different last names living at this address, I have no idea who to give the message to. The only outstanding debt connected to my name is a workers comp claim that is in litigation (my ex employer refuses to pay medical bills for an on the job injury). Therefore MESSAGE DELETED.
- jess7 Jan 2008got same stupid calls from someone named Craig Jebson. i called back and got some woman who said she was from "Living Edge". I told her i was being harassed and wanted the calls to stop. They did stop for about a week, now i just got another call. Anyway to report the harrassment?
- aaron8 Jan 2008I get a call from this or a similar number approximately once a week. (For some reason the number mysertiously disapears from my call log, I didn't even think to google it until I just got a call while on the computer. I will log these from now on.)
When I answer there is never anyone at the other end.
This call came at 8:06 PM 1/87/2007 - Walsh8 Jan 2008When you receive a call with Caller ID of 800-605-5429 that is LEADING EDGE RECOVERY SERVICES.
If you call that number back you will often get a bogus recording from them indicating that number is no longer in service.
To contact them (for example to tell them not to call again) call 800-663-4707.- Awesome job with the call back number..Thanks!!! The first thing the rude SOB asked is where did I get this number and I told them the AG. Funny though, when I called, my number is suppose to be unknown but the rude SOB knew my number right away...If only people like us who deal with these SOB's had the same type of technology...Never dealt with such rude jerks in my life. I urge people to take whatever legal action possible to stop this type of harassment...
- I've been receiving collection calls looking for some person I don't know for about four-five months now. This was a new number calling, didn't leave any info, didn't say anything when I answered the phone, and when I called back simply stated that the phone number wasn't in use. Thanks so much for the info on who to call! I called, the person answering provided their name, but no company name, and when I explained I believed their company had called me three times that day, instantly asked if I was this other person... guess it was the right number. She apologized and stated that they'd remove me immediately. I've also filed the number with the federal donocall list, but I'm not sure if that will help since they believe they have business with the person on the other end of the line (wish I could find out if this person is still giving out my phone number as their own)!
- Thank you so much for providing a number that someone can actually call to tell those freaks to stop calling. They have been a big pain in the a**. I don't know how they got my number and if this is a collection agency, it doesn't make much sense because my credit does not reflect anything of the nature that I owe anyone for anything. This is really irritating!
