I received a voice mail on my cell.  A female identified herself as Amber with SMS; she was calling in response to my resume posted on their website.  I checked the 800# and discovered it is a collection agency located in Schaumburg, IL.  I DID NOT submit my resume to their website.  I would NEVER work for a collection agency.  I did post my resume on Careerbuilders, Monster, etc.  I'm concerned that collectors can acquire a vast amount of information from your resume.  They pay the job site to get a copy of the resumes posing as interested employers. It is probably not illegal.  I used to do skip tracing, it's all lies just to verify that you are the debtor so they can send out a process server. I reported the incident to the Attorney General, Lisa Madigan's Office for investigation.  I suggest everyone receiving these types of calls do the same.

This phone number is from FMS Investments, Inc., the debt servicing agency for federal student loans.  It is a legitimate business as it really does service National Student Loan Debt Services (NSLDS).  I guy called me from an alternate number (877-291-8405, option 1, ext 8500...Dave Carsello), but after reading a lot of "scam" messages from someone with the same name from that number, I got online and researched until I couldn't go any farther.

Then, I accessed my student loan account online, couldn't get in, so I called the toll-free number on my student loan servicing papers from the government, went through all the ID checkpoints and was told that my account was sent to the outside servicing agency for federal student loans.  IT gave me 800-605-9817...different from the number Dave Casello gave me, BUT it had a directory where you could dial by 'LastName, FirtName.'  Once I punch in C-A-S-E-L...the sytem cut in, "I will connect you to David Casello."

He's real and so is the organization.  I'm now glad he called me before garnishing my wages (15%).  The amount I'm paying voluntarily is A LOT less than that.

Do not be a deadbeat just pay your bills will you if you do that you wouldn't be skip-traced what makes you think things student loans, credit cards an or any other type of credit line is for free JUST PAY IT
