Bob21 Aug 2007Received a VERY "stern" sounding message that I needed to call the number immediately and that there was an urgent matter we needed to discuss. They did not say who they were asking for and did not identify themselves and I assume this is a debt collector. Problem is- I have no outstanding debt. Likely a wrong #, but they have called repeatedly and hung up before this.- I got 3 of these calls already this week from a Ms. Arcy from "Leading Edge Recovery Service" saying it was urgent that I call them today regarding a business matter. I returned their call and was immediately placed on hold for 10 min. I actually got the alleged "Ms. Arcy" who is a headhunter for Resurgent Capital. Even though I had previously sent a D/C letter by certified return receipt mail to Creditors Interchange back in 2/2007, they continue to call. I stated with them that I would not agree to any payment plan unless it was in writing. They threatened they would not deal with me--only my attorney. I had been making monthly payments to Creditors Interchange faithfully, even though the balance kept rising above what the initial $4,000 (it's now somewhere around $5,700). Very hard to deal with these people when you're on a limited income--they don't want to work with you unless you can sell your child to raise the money.

- madeleine18 Oct 2007I have gotten several calls from this number and other numbers with the same kinds of messages...Mr. Garcia was one, someone Butts was another "representative." They say they are calling for my best friend who lives several states away and who has never lived with me. They always say they are awaiting her call by a certain time that day and then call back a week or so later. The strange thing is that she has never used me as a reference or anything so how would they have my number? And my number is brand new because I just moved so I can't figure it out.

- jim30 Nov 2007I received a phone call on my answering maching from a LEWIS(Louis) Felton telling me in a very stern voice to return his call immediately. He left a 800 number but no reference number, what is was about, when he could be reached and I considered this very rude and un-professional. I do not intend to call him back.
- I have also received messages from Louis Felton as well as a Mr. Hardeman say that they were calling on an urgent matter and to call back. Then when I actually talked to Mr. Hardeman he proceeded pressure me to go out an get a signature loan to pay off a debt that I owed. I did admit to the debt. I owe it and I am willing to make payments. I told him that and he pressured me to give him an amount that I would guarantee to pay each month. I told him that I could not do that off of the top of my head. He said I didn't have a choice, I had to give him an amount right then. So I said OK, $10.00 per month. He said that would not be acceptable. That is when he suggested I take out a loan to pay the whole debt. He has also been calling my workplace even though I told him I was not suppose to get these types of calls at work. It sounds like this business is just about bullying people.

- KMH12 Jan 2008Missed call and called back. Phone was picked up by a man who would not identify the company, stated his name as Mr Brenton. Asked we for my phone number, I requested the company name. He then stated that they do not provided information. So I said fine then forget the call and hung up while he was trying to say something.

- Lelee28 Feb 2008I got a call from Mr. Johnson at Leading Edge Recovery Solutions, LLC trying to collect a debt. These people are unprofessional and rude. They are very persistent and will call repeatedly until you tell them in a very aggravated tone that the person they are looking for is not at that number. I had a Sears/Citicard Mastercard that went into default and apparently they are trying to collect the debt.

Chicago IL 60656-1490 - shannon from florida6 Mar 2008I got a call from Rick Simmons saying he needed to speak to a Marie something. I told him I just got this number in Nov. He called me a liar. He calls several times a day and harrasses me aventhough I have repeatedly told him I am not the woman he is seeking. He now has resorted to telling me I must get the information to my "friend".
Today he upset me so bad because I was sick and could barely talk. He said I was trying to disguise my voice and he knew it was Marie because he had talked to me several times.
Tonight he calls back. When I answered the first words he uttered was "You are about to get sued" then he went on to demand that I identify myself. He refused to give me the company name he works for and said he would continue to call until I paid my bill.
These people are going after someone who doesn't even live here. I am so upset and feel as though I am being mentally violated.
What can I do?
