Called my unlisted work number...

Dialed the number - seems it's Bank Of America...must have gotten a new phone number, as only 3 websites mention this number at the time of my web search...

Was called by this number - they stated that they were collections - then said they were Bank of America and needed my account number and social security number - have call Bank of America security before - someone always answers the phone- their number is on the back of your credit card - they no of no calls made by them.

Claims to be Bank of America. Asks for Account # and Social Security number. I did not give it to them. Told them to stop calling. If I need Bank of America, I can call them at the number on my statements.

They call 5-6 times a day lately. Obviously I don't answer but still a pain. I'm sure it's not Bank of America, since I've never had an account with them.

It is BOA'a debt collection agency and they are mean and obnoxious bullies. Extremely rude - I tried to talked to 2 of them.  They interrupted everything I tried to say - certainly lacking in customer service skills and should be stopped from their brand of abuse. 5 - 15 calls everyday from 8a-9p and it is Sunday and I just received another call.  

Been calling me every other hour all day.  Say it's BoA (Caller ID says "800 Service").  Told me that by law they're required to tell me they're recording the call.  (standard scam trick make it sound like they care about security).  Asked for last four of my SSN.  Told them I wouldn't give that out, they called me.  Said it was about debt collection. (I owe no debts BoA is involved in).  Offered to give me a call-back number.  Again, said I wouldn't call a number they gave me, I don't know who they are.  They thanked me for my time and hung up.  (A debt collection agent wouldn't give up that easy).

Next time they called it was about "your property".  Again, no more details.

It's a scam.  They're trying to trick people into giving up personal information.

(800)641-4978 I get phone calls from this number all the time including weekends, early in the mornings and evenings.  I've gotten up to 20 phone calls in a weekend.  My answering machine can't get my personal messages because it's always full of 800 calls and dial tones.  I am beyond frustrated.  My husband foolishly answered it once and they told him they wanted his social security #.  He refused but they keep on calling.

I been receiving phone calls from this number at least a dozen times a day at all hours. I haven't answered it. How can I stop this unwanted newsense?

They call me at least 3 times a day....all hours of the day.  Sometimes its a recording that says its BofA (which I am NOT a customer of) and it needs all of this info including my address and social.  Then when I picked up today, a woman (completely rude sounding) said HELLO! I said hello, and then she repeated herself once more and hung up on me.
This has to stop, but I have no way of getting hold of a person to talk to....Is this a scam?  I was thinking that I was on the list by mistake, but now reading all of these comments maybe it is.

This phone number is harrassing me.  I want it to stop.  I get the message that it is BOA and I know it's not.  The only way to talk to someone at BOA is to call the 1-800 number on the back for your card.  I've turned my phone off and only take messages from the answer machine.  I've had 8 heart related surgeries this year and can no rest because of the continuous phone calls.  I want these scammers to leave me along.  I am considering just having the phone removed from my home.

Take care of your health. You can still make outgoing calls (hopefully not 911). Tell family & friends that if they call, leave a message, don't worry you'll call them back. Society today seems to think that you MUST have a phone medically attached to your ear 24 hours a day. That's OK when you're a teen, or early 20's. Wait until the years catch up with them, & that tattoo they got in Cancun.

This number calls us at least 6 times per day and never leaves a message. Sick of it !!!

Add me to the list of tired of being called several times daily. I spoke to one women to ask me to verify my info. I told her to tell me what they had and I would verify.  Waiting for them to call and going to give them fake info. Let's see what happens.

They've been calling for several days now.   Answered once and someone said they were with "loan servicing." He asked for my SSN and I refused. He asked for my last four digits and I refused. Then asked for my home address and telephone number.  Again, I refused. Sounds like he didn't even know the number he called which means he's sitting in a boiler room picking up computer dialed numbers. I call this one as a SCAM regardless if they are with a "legit" business or not.  Jerks. Just block the number or don't pick up.

Lke similar postings above, Thye have called me at work and at home.  Claim they are BOA loan services and sya there's an issue with the account.  They then wish to verify my identity asking for last 4 of ssn or Date of Birth.  I challenge them stating they called me and therefore should not be asking for personal info.  I also checked statements and BOA website.  This number  does NOT appear on any contact us list for BOA.  If you're concerned about your account, best bet is to call BOA and inform them of the call.

Definitely a scam.  I reported it to BofA's fraud department.  They also use 800-699-4576 and 800-699-0102.
