any place that will call the same person repeatedly to collect from a person who I've never heard of then tell the customer they will stop only to LIE and not take you off of the list sounds like a scam to me. i would like to be able to do the exact same to them and see how they respond.  can you actually sit there and tell me this is how a respected company is supposed to work....I DON'T THINK SO.

I got a call and it said " hold for an important message" twice it said this and then disconnected. I called the number back and it was a company name I didn't recognize, but it did say it was for a debt collection. Which concerned me because we are not behind on anything! It asked me to enter my account # which I didn't know since I didn't know what company this was! Then it said to enter my SS# and the zip code of my address. I felt that this was a SCAM and hung up- Then Googled the # to find out this is not the only incident!

Received a voicemail from "Clifford" while at work who instructed me to call this number and also to have a 'hap-hap-happy day!'.  The number instructed me to enter my social which led me to believe that it's a scam.

I have several calls from this number reporting themselves to be calling from Countrywide Home Loans.  This number was even on my statement-which I strongly suspected was fraudulent.  My situation is different in that I have had identity theft but it came from within Countrywide Home Loans.  A manager had it out for me (so I've come to find out) after I went over her head in 2004 to get paid the money her office owed me (over $3,000) for work I did as an independent contractor.

I tried to get help and tell them that my statements were false, I tried to report that a person called me from Countrywide and I made the payment over the phone-giving them all of my information.  I drove all the way to their corporate office in Simi Valley but nobody would look at the files I brought with me.  Nobody would help me at all.

Just this week (seven months later), I happened to be in a local office and with the help of a loan officer, I finally got through to someone in their Customer Solutions department where I first explained that I felt my statments were false and what was happening.  She ignored it but when I confirmed the address on my statement where to mail the payment in-she told me they had no such address within their company.  It was only at that point where she gave me the fraud number for Countrywide.  She asked why I never called it before and I yelled, I tried!  I tried many times but nobody would believe me.

It has been a nightmare, to say the least.  It was really unfortunate for me that the people I talked to in customer service happened to be part or within this corruption from within Countrywide.  I don't think the people who are honest even know-and they make it impossible to get through to them.  They are not in touch with their customers and they have no idea that the criminals are running their business.

It is only now (I believe) going to be opened as a fraud case.  But over the last year+, I've had identity theft, I've been put out of business and what I determined through my months of research is the fraud goes long and deep in the structure of this company.  It starts at the top with a man named Rogers (who happens to be a boss in their foreclosure department).  I found a number of properties that have been purchased by Countrywide Managers-all through their foreclosure department with his signature on the deed.  I suspect (and I've heard of at least two other cases) where the buyer-in this case this manager named Margurite-actually caused the foreclosure to the unsuspecting homeowner.

I am praying that someone honest recognizes this trend and stops them.  Before I lose my home, too.

Received message from answering maching to call.  Told to give social or acc no. and zip.  Don't know what acc no. and zip and do not wish to enter social.  Received same type of call from 1-800-641-5302 as well as 800-669-4578.  One said her name was kim.  You cannot talk to kim nor anyone else.  You can have a fax number or address of SV314B in simi valley, ca which appears to be countrywide.  I have no business with countrywide so why do they keep calling?

I got the "Hap-Hap-Happy Day" message at work.  Called back to 1-800-641-5302 and did NOT enter my SS#.  After getting the same scam (different #) yesterday, I called Country Wide and they didn't seem to concered that someone is scamming using thier name.  I'm wondering if Country Wide really that good of a company?

received voice mail masquerading as "Countrywide Home Loans", however when calling the 800 number in the message, the person on the other end tried to get my social security number.

90% chance this is a scam.
