Answered a call from 703-245-1902 and was told to call James Ray at Nationwide at this number 1-800-651-3096 - this 800 number goes to a busy signal or dead air

 I am not sure if it is a telemarketer or what, but we are on the do not call list and they really need to stop calling  =)

This is a Collection Agency.  Collection Agencies do not use the "Do not call list"  Call the 800 Number Again.

This is a collection agency NCC (not sure which one there are several collection companies on the we listed as NCC). When they call you the phone number on the caller ID will be 703-245-1902 but when the finally leave a message it is for 800-651-3096. This is after they had been blowing up my cell phone for about 2wks.

First issue they called multiple times before finally leaving only one vague "this is not a telemarketing call" message this morning. Second issue they are calling me for someone who must have had this number before I did which was about 4yrs ago. The first guy actually had the nerve to ask me if I knew the individual after I told him he had the wrong number and asked him to remove my number from their database....(yeah Baltimore, MD is so small I know everyone that resides here and the surrounding counties that uses a "410" area code for its mobile phones).

Finaly issue, I had to call them back several times to put in my request the first two people were very rude and did not remove my number because I called back a third time (that same day) to make sure. We'll see....

Got call from this number....they confirmed it as NCC (or Nationwide Credit Corporation). It appears to me that they buy debt for pennys that is below hundred or so...and even if the debt (they bought) by mistake (MOST LIKELY)...they will NOT remove or let you go...Be careful of these folks...

I received a phone call from this number and it is a collection agency.

This number has called me repeatedly as an attempt to collect a debt. The problem? It's a debt in my son's name from before he was even born! Having serious issue sorting this out with them and obviously need to make sure my son's identity has not been stolen.

I am pretty sure you got it right, they have been calling a lot ( no message) but last time they called it was regarding debt that has been settled for years, something that was a medical billing error 3 years ago.  They clearly bought debt from someone, even though I told them this long ago, they still call. I even checked my credit report to make sure it was settled, it is, they still call.

I called the callback number and it was legitmate.  They were calling about a doctor bill that had been sent to collection because the business was using an old address.  The NCC rep was pleasant and efficient, and provided several payment options.  All was resolved in 5 minutes.
